Kencana HL is a good company..
In term of work, you will expose to major work in Oil & Gas industry.. Such as MOPU construction, Shipbuilding, Topsite Module (on FPSO). Kencana has been our vendor for 2 projects and their performance is good..

It isn't weird system, O & G companies have Graduate Trainee Program but very limited seat.

Make reference to engineer.

If you really have courage to work in O & G, as a fresh graduate (zero hands on experience, etc) please join vendor/sub con/consultant to gain your experience & knowledge, as where I started before.

Project Manager will not hire any fresh graduate in their team. In Project, man hour cost is been charged and budgeted. Please ask yourself, are you capable to make any construction or engineering decision? All this decision will involve and relate to cost and project plan. Oil & Gas require quality people and not NATO people.

If you are lucky, you will be hire as Graduate Trainee. If not, please join O & G vendor/sub con/consultant. Don't just wait.

Hi. I am currently working with Oil n Gas subvendor and has only 6 month experience as Project Engineer. My current company is not organized. 1 man has to 3-4 person tasks. Do u guys think i should jump ship or stay here maybe for another 2-3 years? =='

Anyone has contact for HR in Sapuracresrt? smile.gif
*
my advise is.. as Project Engineer the best is you to complete the current project that you in charge now, so that u will have experience from the start up of the project until the completion/commissioning or delivery..

I'm not sure how big the task that 1 person in charge in your company, maybe you can describe the task. Do you need to work 12 Hours everyday to complete the projects?

anyone heard of cameron international sdn bhd which is located at klcc?

how is the job about project documentation coordinator?

how is the interview will be like?

i was received a phone interview from them.

Thanks for replying to my post.

I believe this position similar as Document Controller.. Your scope of work is to distribute, record and 'arkib' all documents.. Just pray Cameron have E-document system. Its quite hectic when you do it manually.

*

Hi to all seniors,

I'm currently doing my final year Mechanical Engineering course (major system design) in of the national uni. in Japan. Final year thesis on fluid dynamics. I would like to ask when is the suitable time for me to send in my CV/resume to the OnG related companies? Last year, Nov 2011 I sent my CV way too early to Shell, got rejected after 1 week.

I have a local IT degree from UPM too. Would like some advice. Thank you.

in the meantime, anyone who has experienced being an expeditor? do share your thoughts here...thanks

You need to be good in chasing, update and well organize.. biggrin.gif

Chasing: Example-You need to follow up with internal & external vendor for delivery/submission of documents, drawing, items etc

Update: Example-Keep updating yourself with the date of delivery/Submission, equipment or any require on site

Well Organize: Of coz you require all the informations to in order, record and keep updated (which you require spreadsheet etc).

Good luck bro... icon_rolleyes.gif

I am in a dilema between 2 jobs. The current one is in the energy distribution industy. And my new job offer from Ranhill in projects. Here are the things that are keeping me awake these days. I am 36 this year.

lemme know what you guys think. OK?
*
my advise is.. talk with your current superior, request to increase your salary at RM8,000 as current market of yourself is RM9k..

your current annual income: RM 6300 x 12 = RM 75600 plus bonus RM25200 = RM 100,800.00

ranhill= RM 9000 x12 = RM 108,000 plus bonus RM 4500 = RM 112,500.00

RM 11,700.00 diff.. do you think worth it?
