I joined back oil gas field and this time with contractor. I'm the only malaysian in the team which consists of korean, aussies, thais, indians, norwagiens and of course singaporeans. Feel quite intimidated as I'm also the only junior here lol

SG doesnt have any oil gas field afaik. My company's HQ is based in SG. Swiber, yeah, they mostly on offshore support and service. I heard they do engineering and fabrication too.

oh ok, do you know what is their current contract with the operators in Malaysia? I seems to have some contact in Baker Hughes that might help me to get into Baker Hughes, but i dont know la.. my result very sad dunno they will help or not haha.. Currently i wanna focus on knowing what is the project of SapuraCrest for Shell..

AFAIK, that master course is expensive! You didnt make any networking with your coursemate? Some of them must be coming from the industry.

Try open a Linkedin account. From there you may connect with headhunters/man power services company.

it matters to local companies to bid for local projects IMO.

What kaiserwulf meant is that new hires will get 2.7K LESS than previous batches (i.e. if previous batches was getting 6K a month, then the new batch will get 3.7K a month) or something like that (which is still less than Petronas which is surprising).

Even overseas student also not so good lah. I've interviewed several during my time as a manager and I had had to      dua tiga ali also because the kids are so shy, tak confident and surprisingly their communication skill is not so good. Their grades are excellent but when you are trying to get the best, all this things really knocks you down.

Look at the Mat Salleh's, they are confident even though what they are spewing are total rubbish ....
