Highly depends which company you join.
If you join corporate, i believe then depends on industry.
MNC with presence everywhere like hotels and O&G always seek out people from Big4. If you audited such industry might be bonus. Good exposure if you want to try out for few years maybe due to good pay and travel. Long term depends on your objective i guess. Got friend works in MNC chemical, travel out of the country almost every 2 month.

Not entirely familiar with the scope for IBM's account analyst, but i personally have taken the route of medium audit firm to big 4 to IA and now into banking.

That said, it depends on how long you'd want to stay at your medium size position and whether you're ambitious enough to push in order to move up the ladder quick. Certain medium size firms may result in you having slower progression whilst others may recognise your potential and allow space for you to grow. However im assuming that IBM (being MNC) would enable you to move with a stronger looking resume later on, not to mention a possible higher starting pay and better benefits.

In conclusion, it would depend on which medium size firm and the package both give you, not to mention which direction you roughly want your career to go, which only you would be able to honestly answer.

Personally, I may lean more towards IBM. Just my view.

Hi, I am planning to continue ACCA last 5 papers after complete my degree and join Big 4 at the same time. I would like to know any sifus here studying part time course? Because it seems like working in Big 4 does not have time to do other things. How you guys manage your time? Can we take leave to study?

9 days enough for one paper? I read through the ACCA thread, everyone suggests start study from day 1 when class begins. I wonder how you guys handle both studies and working so well. 

Take comments from these people with a pinch of salt, its not all the time that "be grateful if can sleep for more than 4 hours a day"

Yes I don't deny some days it can be till that extend but not all the time.

Use common sense, how can one work and focus properly if everyday less than 4 hours sleep?

I have both degree as well as ACCA, not to mention audit working exp as well. But always no news or reject.
So now that u mentioned it, I suspect might be due to my 3rd class degree.

Maybe should try to exclude the fact that I have a degree and just state I have ACCA only.

if i have ACCA , i never would include my advance diploma/ degree result if its not convincing ...it gives you a better chance infact sometimes you can just show your completion certificate is enough, everytime EY call they ask whether you passed your papers in the 1st attempt or not, if you say yes being no how they gonna trace that anyways so just say YES...the thing is its already hard to pass & most of em have more than an attempt shows they dont give up easily & always wake up stronger shows their determination & never give up attitude..but at the same time im not saying good students with high end result are not good, definitely they are good & highly knowledgeable.

why am i saying this is that what bothers me is that these firms often have high turnovers & they take the really nerdy good studious students but most of them dont last & complaint about pressure & resign, i think big firms should take a chance on average performed students who can indeed do the same job as those with fantabulous result, atleast these ppl would know how to appreciate being in the job & fight for it everyday & last longer...

I got offer from btmh. But I'm very keen of joining PwC. I dono whether the chances of getting recruited high or low.
