It's your career, you choose what you want. Nothing is easy, so we are not scaring you. We're just telling you your choices have real impact and real consequences. If you have doubts about whether you really want to do audit, go find somewhere else. I don't need juniors who has their heart floating somewhere, and gives me problems every other day.

Apologies senior.

Technical assessment = test your FUNDAMENTAL accounting knowledge. If you are good (based on your result which they shorlisted), no need to worry or even prepare for it.

Even you interview for TP, they wont ask you TP question. So no worry.

Added on September 13, 2012, 11:57 amon top of that, FS is specialised too, but its prospects are much higher. You may choose to work in bank (merchant/commercial/investment) if one day you find that you are tired to be an auditor. Alternatively, it shouldnt be any problem also if you choose to join trading companies as their accountant / to join group consolidation team. So much of prospect.

EUMI? You plan to work in oil and gas industry? If yes, better apply direct now (Baker Hughes and Petronas, etc...) BH is one of the best o&g companies that provide high remuneration package.
*
There is also clients like astro ytl?

Eumi only focus on oil and gas clients?

What is the cut off month for promotion? Say kp is to join by oct. And promoted by June next year. EY join by April and promoted by Nov..

*
It really depends. Some call immediately. Some few days. Some weeks. Personal experience.

Promotion for EY is on Sept'12... fyi, please apply for professional paper such as ACCA etc to be entitled for promotion..even frm Associate to Senior....

due to budget constraint i assume , they made it compulsory for all associate to enrol to ACCA in order to get promoted...
*
What do u mean? Apply for acca papers?

Even from associate to senior associate?

Means have to finish all acca papers only can get promoted to senior?

And promotion is wef 1 oct.

Hi, I had an interview last Thursday, fast forward to today, Wednesday, there still isn't any calls from the HR.

Should I call to ask if there is any updates?

Or am I already highly likely gonna be rejected..

Thanks
