I own d3100 and nissin Di622 Mark II which I knwo it does support commandre mode and capable to do Strobist.
however I am aware I am lacking of another device to be able to fire my flash wirelessly (kind of commander mode). can I know what device should I get? and another thing since my body doesn't support commander mode. is it possible to fire my nissin wirelessly? Sorry noob question from noob. Help highly appreciated. |

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Dec 20 2010, 03:02 PM) which u mean??? very confusing ur post mine is nissin di622 MarkII If I am not mistaken people said it support wireless trigger.support commander mode n able to b triggered wirelessly r 2 different thgs u nid a flash which is capable to b triggered wirelessly, then a body/flash with commander to trigger it both D3100 n Di622 dun have commander mode but Di622 can be triggered optically, which means trigger by pop up flash if u dowan use pop up flash to trigger, then u have no choice but to get flash with commander mode(SB700,SB900), or body with commander mode, or Nikon SU800, or d logical option, pocket wizards or similar wireless can I know how to trigger flash using pop-up flash?? because I am unable to do it. what is the different between commandre mode and wireless trigger? sorry it is confusing. I don't know much about flash. Sorry noob |

QUOTE(ronaldlee007 @ Dec 20 2010, 03:24 PM) OFF CAMERA FLASH For Di622 bro can you please explain it slowly and like how to trun it on or off technically.Photo : http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01...i622/remote.jpg Link : http://www.nissindigital.com/en/Di622.html The Di622 has a special photo sensor built-in. Place the Di622 off camera and the flash will synchronize with the master flash placed on your camera. This wireless remote flash system is called slave flash technology and is often used for a creative lighting efficiency. Use the camera's built in flash, the camera manufacture's original flash or the Di622 as the master flash. Place one or more Di622 flash units away from the camera. The sensor circuitry of Di622 is compatible only with the latest pre-flash TTL system offered by Canon or Nikon The Di622 is not compatible with traditional flash systems or studio flash systems. sorry noob dan lambat pickup Added on December 20, 2010, 4:00 pm QUOTE(General_Nic @ Dec 20 2010, 03:19 PM) yes Nissin Di622 has wireless trigger, but u nid d TRIGGER to trigger it, which is wat commander mode for so basically what I need to do is having my speedlight near to by camera body and use pop up flash?? I tried it but it is not working.but ur D3100 dun have, so cant trigger it using radio waves, only can trigger optically using pop up flash wireless triggering have 2 main types, 1 is trigger by radio waves, which mean a body/flash/commander unit with commander mode send radio waves to trigger it 2nd is trigger by pop up flash, ur flash unit when set to optical trigger mode, it will fire flash when it detect flash of camera or other flash unit any step by step approach? please.. I want to experiement on strobe This post has been edited by aldosoesilo: Dec 20 2010, 04:00 PM |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Dec 20 2010, 04:50 PM) I don't see anything like this in my camera manual especially in flash section because my camera doesn't support commander mode. IMOQUOTE(mmohdnor @ Dec 20 2010, 04:54 PM) Ooh. I didnt know about this either. gonna try this at home later. I guess nissin manual even more helpful *i got a borrowed Di622 from a friend. i just got to know about this too. check the manual here : http://nissin.weblogs.jp/en/files/622_EN_MAN.pdf i think we need to change the mode to slave mode. Thanks bro. |

Cannot do anything now. just enjoy in using it. I am considering to buy sigma 50 1.4 HSM as well, well I will definitely go for that one, but still waiting for someone to sell it to me, second hand.
