I've take a look at 35 1.8 but it seems not as sharp as 50mm 1.8D or event 50mm 1.4 G, that makes me considering 50mm 1.8D with d90 body.. but still yeahh I am downgrading my sensor performance plus the processor.. =X
do you think it's a good thing to go for 50mm 1.8D instead??
so, do you think upgrade to d90 is necessary in this scenario?? because 50mm 1.8D seems like must-have lens I am thinking to give it a try.

good news for us, no 24mm on FX poison 

you need 24-70 to complete the line... imagine... 16-35... 24-70... 70-200....

All heavy monsters  , add 24 F/1.4, 85 F/1.4 and 200 F/2 would be perfect 

Use center weighted or spot metering, and do the Zone system for exposure metering. Matrix metering is only good if you're shooting fast action and not much time to setup.

There is also the 35/1.4, 50/1.4, 105/2, and 135/2

Keep waiting la... U know Nikon's style with lenses. Wait like 10 years for the 24/1.4, 15 years for a 85/1.4 replacement... The only thing they reliably update constantly is their f/2.8 zooms. I'm not a fan of 50mm. Don't like 50mm angle of view. I only still use 50/1.8 cos its so cheap and almost weightless, but performs like a champion.

yea... but the only thing is need to swap lens... that's the only trade off... it's sweet to have 1.4 though....

My camera was with the Lens in the bag.
Somehow it dropped from the desk when I came back from lunch to wor  k.
The impact somehow destroyed the lens since it was tight in the bag
Jatuh from desk in the bag. 
I will try to send my wife back for Warranty Service if can.
Hopefully Nikon Service Center boleh buat ini.

Nope.. I believe God had chosen an expiration date for my wife

It sucks if nikon servis center say the lens cannot be repaired or the cost to repair is almost like the brand new price.

i'm asking on behalf of my fren.. I also suggesting d7000 but he told me d300s is semi pro and d7000 is mid range..

obviously... he prefer to go for the name instead of functions... might as well just buy the d300s and use black marker to erase the 00 and become d3  s.... and dont forget to change the view finder and add a battery grip....

haha.. i think so too.. sm more the d7000 is cheaper..
but then guess what he told me.. the d300s price has almost drop to floor because ady introduced 1 yr ago.. then d7000 just introduced not long ago.. price still will drop alot..

then i feel..
