QUOTE(sengasdf @ Dec 8 2010, 10:52 AM) I saw a contack.apk mod on SEARCH rom thread, it has fixed the alphabet missing on the side... wonder if it works on doc's rom as well.... SOSYou can get this from SGS Tools (downloadable from Market). It comes with the camera fix as well. This post has been edited by Harddisk: Dec 8 2010, 04:34 PM

QUOTE(sengasdf @ Dec 8 2010, 04:35 PM) What does it fix on the camera?? The unable to load camera software when battery falls on and below 15%. Added on December 8, 2010, 5:18 pmQUOTE(kmrdeva @ Dec 8 2010, 04:38 PM) I think it enables the power button to act as the camera shutter button. And that too. Though in video recording, the power button remains as lock. If there's a fix to tap-focus for the video recording, like iPhone4's. This post has been edited by Harddisk: Dec 8 2010, 05:18 PM

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Dec 8 2010, 04:45 PM) guys is there a way to fix the fade in volume when u get incoming calls . Here http://www.xda-developers.com/android/disa...ng-on-galaxy-s/ Added on December 8, 2010, 5:25 pmQUOTE(Fornx @ Dec 8 2010, 05:12 PM) hmm its okay, but once flashed to new rom, those mods should be removed right? Yeah, new ROM going to overwrites all the changes (apk files replaced by SGS Tools). Unless you did a backup or somehow. I m not sure how the backup works. Really, what's so great about Gingerbread's launcher anyway? Just 3 shortcuts at the bottom?
I think LauncherPro has the best dock with dual function for each shortcuts. And there are a total of 15 icons to be placed, minus 1 opening drawer shortcut, you are left with 29 shortcuts!
Just amazing, this LP. Seriously no LPPL man.

QUOTE(ken2291 @ Dec 9 2010, 10:59 AM) when your phone battery gets below 10%, the brightness of ur screen will be automatically be lowered (cant set that "kind" of low in brigtness settings) means lower than the lowest brightness You can actually. Back in Eclair + Voodoo Beta 4 lagfix. The brightness is super low. Very suitable for dark room usage. But still a bit too bright in cinema.

QUOTE(Crossover @ Dec 9 2010, 03:42 PM) Flashed to DOC's XXJPU (stock kernel) --- smooth like having Ya-OK! But: the choice of stock tone is SUCK! Last time there is seperate tone for Voice an Video call. But on only 1 ring tone. and the pathetic stock ringtone is just 3 choices. Notification tone even worse, only 2 choices. The Display for SMS/MMS is not as attractive as previous Eclair and Froyo. This is as far as i can say at the moment... now how can i bring in more ringtone... can help? You never use the /sdcard/media folder for ringtones and notfication tones? Added on December 9, 2010, 3:54 pmQUOTE(cradle0fFilth @ Dec 9 2010, 03:47 PM) - i created a folder namely 'Notifications' on my /mnt/sdcard /sdcard/media/* (the 3 folders, named properly) This post has been edited by Harddisk: Dec 9 2010, 03:54 PM

QUOTE(Crossover @ Dec 9 2010, 03:59 PM) nv use that since day 1, as i only use those stock tones. So which one shall i follow? /sdcard/media or /sdcard/media/Notifications ---------------------- Another thing in this new XXJPU, when u shut down, last time they have the breaking dancing S, but now... just a smallbox mentioned shutting down. Then it will vibrate before the screen turn off. However on previous froyo, after the turn off screen there will be a vibration to inform the complete shut down. Now odin to CF-root /sdcard/media/* * = audio, notifications, ringtones can create all 3 folders if you like.

XXJPU really that nice?
It seems like Supercurio found some not so nice stuff about it. 16-bit dithering image rendering on browser. More battery draining modem on this kernel.
There are a few more if you follow his tweets.
