u can search for apps brain market.. i think got sgs tools there..

I tested Doc earlier JPU, like it but hated voodoo and speedmod/SO both crashes with JPU and lagfix performance improvement not so impressive.
Darky's relies heavily on Voodoo so, same story.

If you want everything provided by Samsung, then go with Doc or Darky but use the stock kernel to be safe. If you basic, then go with insanity and then add what is needed as and when you need it.

As for new users, get used to the phone first, upgrade to froyo using KIES and learn about the phone ability. If you linux guys, probably take you a few days to figure out what android is all about and probably come out with your own mod after a week.

Okay, I managed to flash Doc's XXJPU 3.0.1 successfully.

Still playing around....yes, indeed the speed is much faster.

When u press an app, it is like it wants to jump and pop up into your face...haha...

Now the Contacts have all the little alphabet on the right side...yahoo....finally this is fixed.....no more missing alphabet with a dot..

Okay,now will install the Add On, Swype and Doc's theme V2....gogogo

i tested both.. n both doesnt need lagfix to be applied. plus u can disable voodoo if u dont want althou Darky's come with voodoo auto enable.

stock kernel is ok.. but ppl here want CWM be there as well.. and for me none of it will bring harm as long u follow all the instruction given.

im not a linux guy and i believe most of us here not even part of it either.. but we all share the same interest : we LOVE experimenting

but u can disable it by creating a folder name "disable_lagfix" in "voodoo" folder located in ur internal sdcard

I'm using Darky's WITHOUT enabling voodoo. without Voodoo enabled, Darky's rom is flying. So as Doc.. lagfix is not needed nowadays. we use these kernels because we need CWM

lags when chatting with more than 1 person.
but even if only chatting with 1 person, it lags when both of us are sending / typing msges. lags greatly when keying in words

definitely the CWM's what we want. u can create disable lagfix folder in SD b4 flashing Darky, there u wont even hear the Voodoo chick's voice She got silenced... by our member -- Silencer.. lol

alright. If u don wan Voodoo to convert to ext4, create the disable lagfix folder b4 flashing I noticed a bit draining on battery. not sure if it's XXJPU or Darky (or was it me playing with the phone all the while ) But quite a number of ppl sayin batt is good with Darky
