i think its better if a malay (for many reasons) lead the "peaceful protest" group. make a new thread, coordinate. many are interested, but someone must start. who wanna be leader?

btw i cant go, i live elsewhere far far far away. lol.

mylinear, after so long, you don't get it still?

THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY. THERE IS DIRTY PLAY INVOLVED. THEY WILL NOT DO THINGS TO PLEASE YOU, BIG CORPORATION OR NOT. THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE.

Wrong, this is all part of their plan. They hire numskulls and underpay them to do their job by actually NOT do their job. When people call and get irritated CS is blamed more than those in power. IN THE END, they will say, Malaysia lacks skilled labor.
Win/Win for them again.

I think there are many users who are not aware of the cap especially since TM has done this behind our backs. Many normal users will not know about it as they can still surf etc normally. But will only realise it if they do some international downloads and realise the speed is very low.

It seems that this is what TM is banking on. That is, they do not get that many complaints. Because many many are unaware of it, so won't complain. They disregard the fact that users are paying for something but cannot use it when they want to because of the silent cap.

I suggest everyone here tells all their friends on Streamyx to check on this capping. There are many users who do not read this or other forums and are not aware. So the easiest way is, if you know other Streamyx users, tell them about it and ask them to check and complain if they want. Who knows, maybe some large company or a law firm or some user who is a big shot may take up this issue further with the relevant authorities. Otherwise its just us complaining here and going round in circles.

Well, that's what tentris who has contact with the CEO and top management says in post #1814.

What relevant authorities? Did you watch namewee's latest video? There was a good person there.

TM just want u subscribe the Unifails to browse internet and pay bill , not for downloading.
Seriously , i just every browser youtube and tudou , also can reach 60G or more bandwidth a month.

so wat the purpose for us to subscribe 1M , 2M , 4M or higher just for web browsing ?
*
i like that -- paying them to pay them

actually i don't.

MEANS to say, unifi BORROWED streamyx BACKBONE! perhaps for their testing.... LOL!

unifi and streamyx users to take turns sharing pain? we're like taking turns as rape victims.

Nah. Definitely wrong strategy. they sure want as many unifi clients as they can get now. uncapped... and will apply quota next year.

pretty sure capping will return soon, to selected streamyx clients.

people should start posting their data usage... like how many gb they transfer each day... then we will know their higher / lower limit of transfer that entitles us to cap

its a coincidence.

please do not subscribe to these conspiracy theories.

tm is a bit dumb, but they are not evil.

just like when streamyx was suffering, some people said everything was fine, Unifi is fine, and there will always be some people who have problems.

if you don't know what's going on, its sometimes better not to speak than to speak about what you THINK is going on. create panic and hatred for no reason.

I do not know what they have done to charm you.

If I were the CEO, who would bother to still talk to YOU, a public, who is able to convey messages to a fair number of users, it would be important for me to maintain a good IMAGE. I don't know about my conspiracy theories, I don't know the truth and the thing is, and I don't need to know the truth. Actually, I do know the truth, and the truth is, our internet infrastructure is way behind others, and I do not need to explain why because if you don't know, you would seem a bit dumb. Time after time, increasingly over time, it's enough, from cable faults to upgrades, maintenance, new system, and almost always said "to serve you better", we have only seen degradation.

Anyway, let's take your words, and go a little deeper, you say tm is a bit dumb. A company cannot be dumb, only the people running it can be. So who precisely do you refer to as dumb? Mr. CEO? Your buddy ZamZiZamZamizzzZzzZz? Or his underlings? I mean if they are a bit dumb, why aren't they fired yet? That's not right, right? In fact, what's even more not right was, you BELIEVED they were on the right track 1-2 weeks ago, you said yourself.

and hey, just because he said it's expensive running an isp, it doesn't mean you need to believe him. Elsewhere there are so many isps fighting each other and are still doing good. Over here, it's quite virtually one isp running the show. Is he suggesting that, if there were a fair competitor, both would go bankrupt? I mean being the sole leader alone with nasty pricing comparatively with the rest of the world especially 3rd worlds.. is that not enough?

They aren't dumb at all. They are just cunning because the people are weak. I am. We take what we are given. Now it's gone a little too far. Let's all just admit that.

If you think that lying and "sucking money" is evil, then you probably haven't seen the real thing.

If like that, i'm evil too for all those years i lied to my parents and using their money to party when i should have been studying in uni! smile.gif
*
Forget debating the definition of evil. What they are doing is not good, just like what you did. Out of love, your parents gave you money to study. Whether you lied or not, you know it's not a good thing. However, whichever way it was, I'm sure they can understand why you do what you do and it impacts your parents $ out of love and care. Now TM is not there for love and care, they are there to gobble your $ so that they can keep a ferrari in their living room. Conspiracy theory again? Fine. Compare us and rest of 3rd world countries. As citizens, are we suppose to ACCEPT all these?

I have a problem of you fighting for the benefits of tmnet rather than the consumers. You keep saying heavy users should pay more, but you never said that light users should be paying significantly lesser than what they are paying at the moment.

Your idea basically give TMnet the opportunity to gain more income with no real benefits to the user. It allows them to abuse the system and yes they will, because there is no competition. Does anyone else have a problem with this? Because I do, as a consumer. I'm sick of paying money to them when I get shit like this in return.

Your idea is only viable if there is competition, right now there isn't any. TMnet is going to have us all bent over and take them from behind if they ever implement a quota, mark my words.
BTW, those you mention involved an amount of cost in generating them per unit, whether is burning coal, other natural resources, or water treatment facilities. The more we generate them, the more cost it involves as you need to build the facility, hire people and so on. Its hardly the same as the bandwidth which we already have, its there.

Tmnet has been moaning about not enough bandwidth at peak times.

Good post. Obviously Tentris is already brainwashed and biased. If he or they wanna talk about FAIR. They can (obviously they won't cuz they wanna earn) provide us with market pricing and features.

http://www.speedtest.net/global.php#0

Let's see.. asia average is 7MBit. Alright. 7MBit. Pricing.... aint too sure, someone suggest.
Alright, malaysia avg is 2.69 dl and 1.23 ul... Now that ain't right, right? 1.23 upload? Brought up by unifi testers?

Now I realize, a poor country like Mongolia has faster internet than us. LOL! Hello mongolia tallest building: http://www.mad-mongolia.com/news/mongolia-...sky-tower-3628/

Then below that is a country called kyrgyzstan has 8mbps avg.

Fail humans in Malaysia.

In the first place, capping is in place because they introduced new services and options such as 2MB, 4MB, now 5-20MB.. and expanding coverage while backbone remained the same.

They could actually lay cables in the sea, new direct lines to here and here, but of course they are spending here, and not earning.

All about money.

i think the gov has too many formalities. with all due respect, too much dato and tuan this and that.. the only except would be the very royal family. if i ran a system reform, i would rid all that so that we focus on downright important matters.
