QUOTE(geeamino @ Jan 21 2011, 12:22 PM) Lol. Wahlau, 160?? is it diecast? but yea...that stupid kastam ACTUALLY cost me around...RM100 just for toll and petrol even tho i didn't kena tax. The first ones were resins. The 2nd one was diecast.Anyway, I think your FC and toll estimate is on the high side. Even if you drive a 599 GTO, you won't be paying that much for fuel. Added on January 21, 2011, 1:07 pm QUOTE(LovingYou @ Jan 21 2011, 12:21 PM) Ahhh icc.. Depends on what you're after. If you want to collect race cars or many cars with different livery and variations, 1/43 scale is best as they have a lot of variety and most new cars will come out in 1/43 scale faster. For good and reasonable priced 1/43 scale cars, look at Spark. Slightly cheaper would be Minichamps and they also have a lot of variety. I collect Mclaren GT and F1 race cars. So that is why I collect 1/43 scale also. They are also usually cheaper too.I like 1/18 more because its not too big or not too small . jus moderate . i m still thinking which car should i get for my 1st diecast car in my life so.. what do you think. If you only collect very few cars and your collection is very focused, you can put a higher budget and get a nice model. That would be the centerpiece of your display. If you only like a Lambo and nothing else, you can get a 1/12 scale Autoart or 1/18 scale MR resin model with no openings. They are very expensive. A 1/12 scale would be the ultimate is it would be the closest thing of having the real 1:1 car in terms of realism. This post has been edited by jchue73: Jan 21 2011, 01:07 PM |

but one thing you must know...more money DOES NOT mean better diecast/resin. Some are expensive because they're limited to 10pcs worldwide or maybe some even limited to 3pcs worldwide or some models are discontinued for a long time like Autoart Mitsubishi Evo 9 Ralliart or UT Mclaren F1 GTR.

You have collectors around that only collect nothing else but Lamborhini cars only or Mercedes cars only or Mclaren cars only... In which case if that person likes Mclaren cars, it's logical for that person to buy a 1/12 scale Meko or MWS Mclaren GTR as that person likes the car so much. U mean lambo brand or model?
