*
Click on the particular sms thread, then the message and you are presented with option to select text.
Just select the text and choose copy.
Go to your Notes app and long press to get option for paste.
Hope it helps... icon_rolleyes.gif

@dvinez - set the default to ask when you connect. Settings > Connect to PC. May also be the cable and PC drivers.

@jamieshin - Go to mail. Choose your Hotmail. Then Menu>More>Settings>General Settings and set it to be default

how to type cmd in fastboot ? need to have phone rooted first ?

Ahh, so you are still on stock and not rooted yet? Then problem would be elsewhere cos the USB brick happens only when rooting cos it changes the original img files

Before this when you connect USB, did it happen?

still on stock, froyo. but it is a used phone.
my friend bought from a forumer here yesterday.

but since mine connect nicely, his should right ?
or every phone need a original sd card to install own driver with own serials. this phone used new sd card.

If you are on Windows, check here

@netken - re-flash. Or format back the faulty SD on PC. The SD is like your HDD, so there are times when we are unlucky enuf to be hit with bad sectors.

Never tried it before but can you save the game with data and restore? By copying to new SD?

Can also try with disk utility to repair the SD on your PC. Did that once and it worked but takes some time for it to finish but managed to run it as before.

@dvinez - sorry to hear that you still facing problems with it. I am beginning to think that there is something wrong with the phone if you have really tried all that the guys have put across. Will try to find out more for you, bro.

@hazril - still up at this hour, bro? Flashing new ROMs, huh?

It is always advisable to do total wipe when flashing. Recommended to have 1GB on ext and try using ext4... it is fast indeed... icon_rolleyes.gif

still on rcmix.. i rarely switch rom.. hehehe.. normally stay with sumthin until i get bored.. roughly within 3-6 month.. so we'll see what kind of rom we have in the next 6 month.. or if we're lucky we just ported to gingerbread lor.. hehehe..

when wanna try my nasi kukus?
*
3 - 6 months is a long time... I can only go 1 month so far but the baadnewz might just keep me longer.
I think we would get the Gingerbread sooner, probably like 2 months, if the stock ROM is out. Even with the SDK, AdamG has managed half of the porting to Desire.

P.S. Nasi kukus? Still can't tear myself away to get to PJ la, bro... maybe this weekend

Means wipe everything... you have that option in ROM Manager. Follow what tyja advises which are also in previous posts. Just do a search.

@hazril - you still up since early morning, bro? Even ordering food and not moving? This is serious. You fixed on LeeDroid now, right?

comparing side by side Desire (amoled) vs Desire HD's screen, DHD's screen "pale in comparison" literally.  DHD screen looks wash out the moment i turn it on at DiGi.  The colour doesn't looks as vibrant as Desire's amoled screen.

Anyhow DHD's screen size does matter - I think I can't go back to smaller screen size now.  laugh.gif  I am not saying DHD screen is not good.  It is still a good screen just that the colour not as vibrant as amoled Desire.
*
Cynox is right. First time I didnt notice much about the screen on DHD but after I flashed RCMixHD on the Desire, it actually looks better on the Desire than on the DHD.

Choice if want to buy now, I would advise just go for the Desire and wait for the dual core processor from HTC like tyja said. Should be even better. Earlier in the year, Qualcomm said they will launch dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon this year but didnt get any news. I was drooling also when I saw the LG but I will wait for the HTC and still havent done playing with Desire even though had it since early of this year. Probably we will see Gingerbread on it soon too...

I think jamieshin has a white Desire...

Added on December 17, 2010, 4:36 pmanother question, i'm reading here that you can't save apps into the memory card? is that true?
*
I could not tahan with Symbian long time ago... Thought iPhone was it then... But when I got to know Android, I think it is the best thing since sliced bread....

BTW, where did you read that apps cannot be saved to SD card? I think you must have misread it

it was a review by techradar. in march though

"One of the problems is still not being able save applications to memory card - this means developers have to make games small, and therefore low function.
This should change in a near-future update to Android, thus opening up the application Market to a wider range of developers, and making applications a lot more interesting.

Ahh, in March.. Take a look at this newer one, point no. 9... also from same site...

Oh that's awesome. Thanks buddy

@rattan - you on RCMix or LeeDroid and running 1200? Battery will definitely die faster but the heat also is bad… or maybe mine has a faulty motherboard already…

And flash back of DOS and IRC with Undernet??? haha.. I am still on this broken down Apple IIe..

@cristiano7mu - what ROM are you on, bro? On LeeDroid also?

@mousqy - you can try the first page of this thread. That is as friendly as it gets and the sifus here are always ever willing to help…

@microbe - yes the Sense was designed to provide ease of use. If rooted, as the sifus said, you can still go for Sense based ROMs. Then again, the functionality of Sense was developed by third party apps that provided those functions initially or developed as after thought. So you still can get close to Sense.

@nurul_adik - try checking your configuration in not just Settings but also the Message app. What part of the Phone Memory do you want to copy?

p.s. On to Gingerbread

@phantomash - Glad to hear that I am not alone in feeling that it was fast. Calmshot was right when he said it was fast. Another thing I discovered is that some of the apps have updates... most probably geared for Gingerbread.

@rattan - try Nimbuzz for calls over Wifi

@hazril - still up, bro? More modding your themes? Luv what you did with your homescreen... very the canggih... rclxms.gif Mine not so creative... Just slap it on top of the Gingerbread with LauncherPro...

just finish flash lee droid .

Yes, I have to agree it is one of the more preferred Sense based ROMs. I was on LeeDroid before moving to RCMixHD and performance is almost the same. Quite a number of themes to try out also.. Have fun... icon_rolleyes.gif

I am waiting for my download on the new update for Ginger Villian v0.3 to finish and flashing that shortly
