@xproc -Sorry to hear that. Very frustrating. I had it once and found out that there was something wrong with the radio. Tried also factory reset but didnt work but when I tried hard reset with the buttons, somehow it worked. Give it a try and good luck.
@hazril - how's your SD card problem. Hope it was ok. |

@hazril - haha, that's true. I just reformatted with ext up to 1.5G when I flashed RCMixHD v13 two nites ago.
@bryan_823 - Looks like you are having fun with the new ROM. Glad you finally got it going, dude This post has been edited by chaos415: Dec 6 2010, 07:31 PM |

QUOTE(hazril @ Dec 7 2010, 11:17 PM) la...that one if not mistaken is your available RAM... haha, and i was going to say I was going to shave hazril's head... p/s : see my avatar already you know that no hal for me to shave my head bald... redo everything all over again bro until satisfied...that's what i did... You guys are so funny and helpful, no wonder the thread moves so fast. The guys are right that the data2ext still has problems. A word of caution is that it might run your SD card down faster. Just my suspicion cos i blew one SD card with ownhere's ROM and had to reformat another using RCMixHD's v14. Now flashed back to RCMixHD v14 old fashion and it looks more stable. QUOTE(phantomash @ Dec 8 2010, 09:33 AM) yea, we can already flash Gingerbread ROM lol, Yes, it really looks cool. I was stuck with it yesterday and became horribly unproductive the whole day. The radio has stablize but sound and wifi still not.but it is still in its very early development stage actually When I restored back to RCMixHDv14, I noticed something peculiar. Restored the apps and connected to Gmail and then HTCHub. Sudddenly, all my SMSs was restored and a lot of duplicates... triple the actual number that I had and it co-incides with the number of times I had flashed since setting up a new HTCSense account which is why I suspect that the problem is syncing with HTC rather than Gmail. Anyone came across this? Or maybe I missed a post somewhere, then I apologize... This post has been edited by chaos415: Dec 8 2010, 10:51 AM |

@edwinlcw - I would also suggest the higher speed class 10 SD Card. Initially, you would not notice much unless moving large files. But later, after usage and the data gets fragmented, the lower class SD cards will be noticeably slow.

@bryan_823 - I just wipe everything clean everytime before flashing new ROM and so far it has been good or maybe I am lucky... Now running baadnewz RC2 with Data2ext on ext4 and it is smoother than RCMixHD v14 that I was running previously.
@awiekupo - Try reseting the APN to default and entering again. Usually works for me. (always gets me hungry when you are around, wonder why??? @linkeong - try a search in Market, but I got it built-in with one of the ROMs installed Have a nice weekend, guys. Happy flashing |

@awiekupo - glad you solve it, bro.. one of these days I might just drop by... heheh
@microbe - sorry didnt answer you earlier, friend. I think it should be ok cos I am using the same process to set up, including the rooting, when I flashed RCMixHD. Used Gparted to partition and when I flashed it, Titanium and System Info gave the same reading. Verify by going back to your PC to check. Good luck. @tyja - I found Quick Settings a while back and have found it to be handy as I can access all the usual switches with one click, so dont need much of widgets on the Home screen. It has a slider to adjust the brightness. Check it out, my friend. This post has been edited by chaos415: Dec 11 2010, 07:00 PM |

@ramen241 - I have been on Baadnwz for a few days and battery is not much difference from when I was on RCMixHD. No FC's but most of the time, after flashing new ROMs and restoring the apps, I would repair/fix file permissions.
@hazril - awiekupo is right about TB. I had the same problem and just use MyBackup, especially cos you can view first what you want to restore. One thing that I found out is that TB will sometimes restore if you backup the apps + system data. @djlah - awiekupo's right, RCMixHD has stablized and should be good to try. Only the 720p recording is not done. Everything else is good including HTCHub. @tyja - Have you found the app to work your brightness, friend? I remembered Brightness Profiles that you could type in the figures for the brightness and create profiles. @awiekupo - nice to hear you got RCMixHD stable, and I am hungry again... |

QUOTE(awiekupo @ Dec 13 2010, 11:47 AM) i prefer the new one coz it provide much better info to me especially the similar apps area which recommend a closest match alternatine to the apps (well sometimes the recommendation doesn't make sense but overall its a handy feature).. Haha... you are right about the recommendations they make... but actually I dont really notice much about the performance. Maybe it is my low expectations of the connection. Having the pricing in Ringgit is a convenience too.. |

@hazril - I dont think MyBackUp can restore from files backed up by TB. Tough luck, bro.
@tyja - ahh, I understand now what you are trying to do. Sorry for being so thick, friend. You are trying to set the luminance like what sfjuocekr did when he tweaked the autobrightness on CyanogenMod. Never tried Oxygen but I thought it should work the same way. Only app that I know that actually sets absolute value is Adjbrightness. The auto-brightness does not really work well or fast enough to change levels. I use robocik's mod but requires some work at framework-res.apk to integrate with the other mods. Dont know whether that helps.... |

@furryfluffy & Cynox
- I dont seem to be having the problem, even when I was on RCMixHD. Try clearing the cache for the browser you are using in Settings>Applications. @Kusoparty - Initially the ROM takes a little time to set in. Try fixing the file permissions. Usually works for me. QUOTE(furryfluffy @ Dec 14 2010, 04:55 PM) Thanks 4de reply... Which browser are you using? The standard browser or a third party browser like Dolphin or Opera? Try also to switch to desktop mode on the browser and back again. Previously did that on some of the sites and it loads correctlyi will try but do not see any correlation with the clearing of cache... it is more of the virtual keyboard problem... happens both in vertical and horizontal position... there is just gonna be a thick black band popping up on top of the keyboard covering reply box anyway, will try. tq again This post has been edited by chaos415: Dec 14 2010, 05:00 PM |

QUOTE(dvinez @ Dec 15 2010, 04:19 PM) thanks for the tips Definitely the biggest you can find and a Class 10.what are the recommended size and speed of memory card for desire? dont want it to become laggy or problems.. @hazril - I think you missed out one step.... Back Up data.... haha... I thought I was a lonely soul that was tired of Symbian. Moved from N90(mainly becos it has Carl Zeiss lens) to iphone(cos of jailbreak) and a satisfied user of Android on Desire now (mainly becos Google is going for world domination) @tjya - back to CM? Yes, definitely you wont find anything like it. CM started early and has reached maturity. That's why even the luminousity level cant find anywhere else like the tweek by sfjuocekr. Closest I have come across is the mod by robocik but that requires editing at framework-res.apk to have it your way too. This post has been edited by chaos415: Dec 15 2010, 04:31 PM |

QUOTE(geniousboy @ Dec 15 2010, 04:29 PM) my phone is branded with virgin mobile, do i need to debrand first if i want to root my phone? I rooted one that was on HK network without debranding and flashed a new ROM and everything is fine. If you are on warranty, create a gold card, like tjya mentioned. And he is right also in terms of as long as you follow the right things nothing will go wrong.the unrevoked method looks really easy and simple.. For me, it is like formatting your HDD and installing new OS... it wont break your computer so it wont brick your phone. Unless you go into S-Off and RUU, then for me it is like working it at BIOS level. Even then you still can go back... Cheers |

@dvinez - Ah, I see, you have different contacts in different vcf... can you export to one file?
@jamieshin - If I understand you correctly, saying "root directory" means the top most level of the volume of media or disk that you are using. If that is right, then you just use Astro to copy the file to the topmost directory This post has been edited by chaos415: Dec 15 2010, 11:47 PM |
