So are you targetting this phone next? Looks like the cam is a bit out compared to the N8 but the speakers seems to be as good as the 5800xm if not better. |

When you have so many leftovers, what you do is employ some designer to change the outer casing that would looks cool but at the same time fit the leftover hardware. Dump it into the market with a cheaper price but comparable specs. |

screen bigger only mah... 0.5"inch not really big difference... =D but hopefully it comes with clearback technology... =D although it's better since it's preinstalled firmware anna already... now the camera is how many MP i dunno... but hopefully got Autofocus...

but for me 4" is good enough for me at the moment...any bigger screen feel funny when making phone call...lol |

Well, N8 was very well armed. Screen size difference is not a big deal because it still stuck with the same resolution. Having tried E7, dare I say it, sometimes a little bit pixelated. I think if Nokia plays a bit of waiting game, it might do well with the newer handset. Hehe..

coz i had a chinese fren using 5800. but he know nothing how to setup bla...bla...bla... on his 5800 (set to chinese language) he only know making calls, sms, mms. if something went wrong, he always ask me to fix it and of kos i dont understand chinese so need to change to english/malay la....
my onother chinese fren using x10i always ask me about his android fon... can just change language without restart fon.... not a problem for u dont mean every one else also same! |

The screen is really damn nice to look at. But somehow i feel when typing sms the button looks abit more cramped up. So far ok la it is a symbian afterall, familiar territory.

I dont think the hardware give Nokia much freedom to improve on the resolution. N900 also has 1GB if you count the NandRAM (Nic n Bufung dont kacau, just lazy to type Swap). The disadvantage is the lag when the DRAM is overload and the need to go through the slow NandRAM vs si beh fast DRAM. In this alone, N900 already KO.
True multi tasking important? On a 1GHz processor. |

It won't overload the DRAM, similar like Windows, there default settings, when use up certain percentage, it will go to/use swap memory. True multi tasking important? On a 1GHz processor. True multi-tasking is important if we're talking about true smartphone which from the beginning, the purpose is to deliver PC like experience, true mobile computer. Of course, not everyone need it, as Glen also mentioned and N900 owners also mentioned before to others who ask about N900, no phone is for everyone, not even iPhone. iPhone is simple but that's it, it cannot satisfy users who want something more; There'll be people who want to have true multi-tasking, homescreen, etc. To each his own; As for N9, maybe I would say it pretty much covers a lot of cateory, from simple and smooth experience, to powerful and capable device; The hardware may not satisfy people who're looking or concern with specific details on the hardware, and the camera probably may not appeal those who want amazing camera, but as the OS, probably I would say it covers pretty much area. Honestly speaking, as a Maemo owner, this MeeGo does not live up to it's capability, flexibility and features; but it delivers the smoothness, simplicity; So in a way, it can capture more type of users. Anyway, whether true multi-tasking it's important or not, EVENTUALLY, it will become a common feature because EVENTUALLY competitors will compete to provide better features and functions, it's just a matter of who provide it FIRST, and also, who can do it better. Technology improves and advance everyday; People used to say they don't need this or that, eventually one day, the features will be provided and become common. It may not be a necessity, but it's nice to have. It doesn't hurt to have more, but it hurts NOT to have IF they can do it but decide NOT to do it, there's a difference. As I mentioned before, CHOICE, they can provide it, those users who don't want it, don't use it or give the option to turn off the feature. |

Although SGS2 is slimmer, it does really feel too plastic for its weight. Like a toy. X7 is better.. If you can find a way to transplant SGS2 internal into X7 would be nice. |

those who own x7, do you experience on hang and freezing and lagness randomly? bought 1 x7 yesterday and what happened today is very annoying. the phone hang and will not react to touch to release lock = cant switch off the phone. no idea how to reset the phone, normally other phones just remove the battery and restart... this freaking device have built in battery which have no way to restart that way. and when i tried and tried after hours, it suddenly restarted it self and back to operation, and still usual lag. its running on symbian anna.... |

Happened to me sometimes but maybe I brought cheap silicon case and it a bit tight at the on off button that is why I hang sometimes.

Have u update your firmware yet? If it don't response press the power key. It will response after that. How to restart your phone if hang.
Hold the power button and menu button together for 8 seconds or more. |

it happen to me also..not hang but it cant respond to my touch..everytime i need to wipe the screen to fix..maybe coz of the sceen to oily..but weird is my n8 oily but can respond to my touch.

was watching a video on my X7 and it hangs. Even touch the Menu button, there's no respond. Was trying to shut it off but not working also. Hold power button for 8,9,10,12 seconds also no use..
 so i let it be to drain out the battery because the screen still showing the freeze video image. hello,would like to ask about video calling for this device.. does nokia x7 not support video call?how bout video sharing,i read some where than we can make live video share use this hp,please help me to configure this setting.i know it much easy to use internet application to share video,but my parents just buy 3g phone,and they try so many times to video call me,and they did not succeed.it really difficult to ask them to install internet application just to make video call to me,ang to put ice on the cake,they buy family sim pack for me.haish.help me guys.
