As what Perunding said. Also DS3 has some advantages over steering, as in you can countersteer faster and also it has some assist on.

I was playing with DS3 for a few days..and borrowed my friend's G25..and maaan..a whole lot of difference..easier to control the car now

It's not a must, obviously. But really precise steering, braking and throttle inputs will be hard on a pad.
You gotta ask yourself:
Do you love cars?
Do you love driving?
Do you wanna invest in getting better?
Do you have deep pockets?
If you've answered 'yes' to most of the questions, you should go for the DFGT. If you've answered 'yes' to even the last question, go for a G27.
I love cars n driving so much, I even play my G25 with the clutch and learned heel n' toe downshifting to make the experience more realistic.
For LHD cars in GT5, I even put the shifter on the other side and forced myself to learn how to drive LHD.
Yea, I guess I'm crazy.
WE LOVE CARS.
WE LOVE CARS.
LA LA LA LA LAAAAAAA!!!
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I agree that 'driving' using DS3 can be quite troublesome especially on oval (nascar) type tracks.
Now need to fork up 600++ to get both the games and wheels.
