Going on weekend, next weekend; following my friend go.

What about the settings use on the N8 to capture the spinning camaro picture? Wanna try and experiment on it that day.

Tho those who are using NITDroid & have problem installing Angry Birds Season,do the following :

Download Astro File manager or Root Explorer
Save your apk file in internal memory(MyDocs)
Open File manager or Root Explorer & move the apk file to data -> app
Change the permission so you can move the file
Unmount the SD Card - In NITDroid case it's our Internal Memory aka MyDocs
Lauch the apk file with File Manager or Root Explorer now The application should install fine.

But the Halloween Episode keep on crashing.I'll try to find out the problem later.

Added on December 4, 2010, 9:53 pmEdit:Ok,this isn't exactly the best solution but muting the sound in Angry Birds Seasons make the game runs fine.
No stutter any any other issue with the game.Enjoy yourself.

root explorer's good eh ? brows.gif brows.gif

LIKE I PROMISED EARLIER - files that you can remove safely from the /system/apps folder (or unsafely and break some stuff)

files that i removed safely anyway... it might be a bit more extreme than anyone ever tried.

but i dont use app market / google sync / any google stuff / maps / calendar / mms / phone function / sms / email

here goes.... a long list

the safelist - 100% does not affect anything
-------------
calculator
camera
certinstaller
deskclock
gallery3d
geniewidget
htmlviewer - (pdf viewer)
livewallpaper
livewallpaperpicker
magicsmokewallpapers
maps
passionquickoffice
soundrecorder
youtube

others that i removed (extreme - will break app market / many other functions - but still boots fine and can surf the net using wifi only & install apps from apk file, warning - will break 3G data)
-------------------------

applicationsprovider
calendar
calendarprovider
contacts
contactsprovider
googlebackuptransport
googlecalendarsyncadapter
googlecontactsyncapdater
googlefeedback
googlepartnersetup
googleservicesframework
marketupdater
mediaprovider
mediauploader
mms
networklocation
phone
protips
spareparts
telephonyprovider
vending

also you can replace the ADW Launcher with the Launcher2 to spare more RAM like i said earlier...

PS : you can restore if you break anything, just extract the files from the NITdroid.0.0.8.tar.bz file and put back in the system/app folder with the right permissions.

it will start working after reboot.

to make it easier, i copied the entire contents of the system/app folder to the SDCARD (eMMC) so that i can copy files back into real /system/app if i break anything.

Added on December 4, 2010, 11:23 pmWARNING : do not remove any other files other than what you see listed above, dire consequences.

believe me, i have experimented and i know the extreme.

you'll have a lean and mean NITdroid installation after removing all these files.

and you should have around 150MB - 160MB RAM after fresh boot, meaning apps will launch faster and have more RAM to work with (esp. web browsing is smooth)

Pretty good.Very lightweight. But I'm using Astro File Manager as my backup file manager.Got some extra functions.

I guess for coming few days I'll be raping the NITDroid.Too bad the terminal support in Android is really crappy.
I'm trying to enable ADB Shell with N900 now.
My 1st priority is to enable USB Flash mode in NITDroid.

Can't even type "echo /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 > /sys/devices/platform/musb_hdrc/gadget/lun0/file" in Android terminal doh.gif
No idea how to type " < " symbol.

I'm using the 3G/2G/Dual mode selection applet. Question, most of the time, I chose GSM. Is this going to cost me on my phone bill? Will Maxis charge me? (I'm not using Maxis to surf the internet).
Changing to GSM saves my battery a lot compared to 3G.

Thanks.

dude, press the blue function key (the upward pointing arrow) and then hit the CTRL key.

you will get the extra characters < > and the rest

Added on December 5, 2010, 1:32 amand there is a mistake in the command....

its actually...

echo /dev/block/vold/179:9 > /sys/devices/platform/musb_hdrc/gadget/gadget-lun0/file

and you type this is maemo...

then reboot to nitdroid and connect usb

it detects the emmc when plugges in, drive appears but it says cant access filesystem... weird...

if you're not using it to surf... of cos no charges...

2G/3G same price anyway....

just 3G is faster when accessing internet using maxis and eats up more battery....

2G is slower but battery lasts longer...

but on N900, if you are not using maxis to surf the net, then might as well use 2G mode, since it does not have video call anyway...
