What things i should look/check for if i want to get this phone?firmware, dead pixel etc etc?

Also, what big issues that this phone has other than the slow GPS?

A friend introduced me to this model and it sounds good for me to test android.

hmm i wish to uninstall some app or widget that i install before .. how can i do it ?
by the way , how to clear internet cache ? im using the facebook android .. so where to it store the cache ?

some widget i cant find anywhere to uninstall ..
currently i uninstall the apps by go in app screen, press menu, click edit .. than delete ..

The slow GPS locking problem will be reduce after froyo..................

The major fall back is the screen size and resolution, and the camera as well

To uninstall an app,
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and choose press your app you wish to uninstall> uninstall


To remove a wideget from Home Screen, press and hold and drag to bottom of screen where a rubbish bin in red will appear and let go

Right. Yeah, the screen size. How's the phone under the sun? compare with Iphone and HTC touch 3g( i have this phone for such a long time already. time to change.hehe)?

The camera is not an issue for me actually. Don't really mind.

Clear cache
Setting - Applications - Manage Applications - tab in the apps you wish to clear cache - Clear data

Definitely you need to flash yourselve.........the official version froyo will only be release on 1st quarter of 2011

just flashed my g5 to froyo.. love the app2sd function.. so far no problems or bugs (nt sure about compass though) even the gps locks quite fast.. the battery life isnt that bad either, i unpluged my phone at about 6 am, n got it to last till 5pm, normal usage.. but i hve one question,
whenever i receive a text msg, there will be this annoying ringtone that never stops until i open the notification tray.. anyone know how to remove that or disable it..

Can't install app into SD. unless upgrade to froyo. This is just temporary 'cos official froyo will be release.

i hv tried the launcher of galaxy s in dropbox...it's very nice but unpaid version and my screen color turn into darkish one...but it's fine after restart...
