i got this problem in my i4....
whenever i'm at home, to preserve battery life
i use Wifi instead of data to whatsapp

but then whenever my phone is left down and screen locked (1minute later)
my whatsapp will stop receiving msgs -.-
and when i check again, it keeps spinning and say "connecting"....

then i go to safari and surf, x jadi..... cannot surf....
i need to off and on wifi again...

apa jadi ah?
wifi auto off ?





its not major issue for me, just very mafan need to off on off on..

Its very common for wifi, even it keeps happening to my Macky as well. I believe all Apple's device is like that? Can't find any solution yet

but my mac i leave it there also no auto disconnect wer....
very pekchek one everytime need to urgent whatsapp....

If ur iPhone is jailbreak u can try insomnia it prevents wifi to off when your phone goes into sleep mode and app that is running wifi will keep running.

Hello guys..i got some problem about my network..yestasday my strimix had problem..cant surf..but my ip4 still had the wifi icon at status bar..when i try connect..it cant..so i turn my 3g without turn off my wifi at ip4..but it still cant acces to internet..the 3g icon doesnt show at status bar..just wifi icon..so i decide to off the wifi 1st..then it connect..so im confuse here..its suppose to be show both the wifi n 3g at status bar right..if im not mistaken..coz before this i had the wifi & 3g icon both..huhuhu..can someone explain to me..izzit common problem for ip4 or not..coz my buddy using 3gs n doesnt had the problem..thx...

priority goes to wifi 1st that is why even your wifi is connected but you on 3G it will still be on wifi connection. And no when you are on wifi it will not show the 3G on status bar till you off your wifi or you are out of range from your wifi. I donno this applies to iPhone 4 only or it might be a iOS version. I am on iPhone 4 ios4.2.1 btw.

no the 3g and wifi icon wont ever appear at the same time. only 1

if u on 3g n off wifi, and u get a 3g signal, then the phone will use 3g connection. the 3g icon will appear at the status bar

if u on both 3g and wifi, ur phone will look for wifi 1st bcuz this is the priority. if it can connect to a router (even though the router is not connected to the internet), then it will connect to that router and 'ignore' the 3g signal. so at the status bar only got wifi icon, no 3g icon even tough 3g is on

i only on wifi at home n coffee shops like that. most of the time i turn wifi off because sometimes my phone tend to connect to routers like my campus wifi (can connect, but need password before surfing). if this happens, my phone will be on wifi, but no internet n ill miss my whatsapp messages ;p

so basically u need to turn off wifi to use 3g signal

Duno,, I updated but sems like normal nia.. Batt life also same as in 4.3.1. Lucky me i got a fast internet connection here in office.

663mb took me less than 9 minutes.
If at home, i need 7-8 hourss.. Lol
