Can i upgrade my firmware through itunes to ios 4.2.1 directly?

We're also seeing a new FaceTime icon on the iPod touch, which is nice, and 9to5 Mac noticed that the iPad now supports fullscreen iAd banners, which is less nice. my 3gs running 4.1 os maxis set jailbreak
case1 :is it possible for me to remove the jailbreak?means i want to only 4.1 os without jailbreak ?
case2 :if i would like to downgrade to 3.1.3,just connect with itunes and click restore ?
case3 :is it stable if 3gs upgrade to 4.2.1 ? lattest os is it ?

Why wanna downgrade? Any issue with iOS4 on your iphone?

till now,i cant find the solution y my iphone hard to connect internet
only able to connect for a few min,then show " no connection " back
maybe this because of this os ?or maybe cuz im jailbreak it ?

i am using 3Gs non-jb. i've noticed only slight lagging happen and not too obvious. if u can live with that then iOS 4.2.1 is good enough for 3Gs

I believe you know yourself whether you have shsh saved or not. You can check thru cydia or TU.

Some apps need IOS4 and above. If that so, 4.2.1 is the best for ya.
