for my understanding now..i feel i should do like this...in phone > settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings
then do this steps:
1. Make sure the iPhone is not connected to the computer.
2. Close the iTunes application and re-open it again.
3. Plug the usb bit to the computer
4. Hold the "home" button of the iphone
5. Now plug the dock connector bit to your iphone (without letting go the home button)
6. Await for further instructions on the screen and then release the "home" button.
7. Hold shift and click restore for Windows users and select the firmware. Hold Alt/Option button and click Restore for Mac users and select the firmware.
i will use this firmware..
thisam i right?..just to confirm before i proceed..
