anybody bought anything from www.rondomusic.com? if so mind telling us how clean and fast are they to deliver to malaysia... and anybody planning to deal with them?

the gears in general looks interesting and definitely cheaper than local stores (if combine shipping)

any comments?

Wah , you survey all the way to rondo . lol .

It is never worth it to import just one guitar by yourself , especially at your budget .
Wait for 1st December Clearance sales by local stores lah .

Yea guys, how do i convince my dad that trusted sellers like deadeye, gap all those can really be trusted? he keep on saying like.. they change the inside parts and sell it off.. i was like wtf man. retail price is so bloody expensive.. i can save up to 1k if i buy from you guys..
*
Don't need to convince lahh...
Your dad rather pay more , to an establish shop that has been around for the last 30 years . I met many people like that before. They are not very price-influence, they believe in long reputation and values . They grew up hanging out in Woh Fatt , Bentley ,Swee Lee, Mahogany and other older shops. Its like nostalgia to them .

Have to respect people's point of view lor . These people are the ones that supported the music industry for the past 20-30 years . Without them , there will be no JS music , guitarstore , Music Master , Ultimate music and stuff .

Hey guys. since i had a little cash with me.. i decided to change the pots/caps of my epifake custom..

How much will those Gotoh or CTS pots normally cost?  and I've decided to either get a SD Jazz and JB or a SD Alnico 2 pro set or a 59' and jb combo to upgrade that pu. but pickups won't be done too soon. lol

edit_ for missing inputs.

I'd go for the SD jb/jazz combo
SD alnico pro 2 memilih skit (dpends on ur guitar)
but a SD AP2/JB sound good dpends on ur guitar though

SD JB/59' pn orait2 ah,
tp 59 tu kekadang "boomy" skit kt neck position

SD AP2 both position if u wanna go all Slash ah (like i said depends on ur guitar)
SD AP2neck/sd 59 bridge is for more of a Gibson Les paul tone

Idk la about the Tesla Opus-1,
but kt youtube ade org demo sedap je
hahaha
*
Totally agree .

Apple_Darren , if its your first experience with good pickups . I highly recommend Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz or JB/59 combo . Especially with Les pauls or Mahogany body guitars .
Its very versatile . Sounds good and very safe . You can cover lots of range from pop to metal . JB/Jazz was the first combo i installed to my guitar (got this recommendation from the old jamtank) , up till today , i am still using this combo in 2 of my guitars . It doesn't fail .

When you gain a little bit more experience , (you know a specific EQ pickup sound you want) , then you can look into Dimarzios , Lindy Fralins , Bare Knuckles and stuff .

mid- 20s , they call me childish for everything i do that they disapprove, attempt to use age to mind f*** me.  mad.gif  i got everything they wanted d (graduate d), so now i want my half stack. i admit i have a heavy rebellious spark in me but i aint going to get my pay and spend on electronic gadgets, not on computers or cars

if my dad brought me up by blasting the whole neighborhood with pink floyd, its in my blood for loud music

pros[/b]

- reliable, they cannot die! SERIOUS!
- clarity, well thats what they do very well. things are said to be clearer on a solid state
- no/little maintenance at all! all components nearly last forever!

*
A solid state amp can last 10-20 years . Max .
A good tube amp , can last for 50 years .

If a solid state's internal board is fvcked , you can't repair it .

Sorry if this is a sensitive question, but how do pre-order sellers here on lyn start selling stuff? I'm somewhat kinda interested on that since it's sooooooo hard to find better and more instruments here in Malacca. I believe Malaccan musicians deserve better stuff than our regular, common gear. My PM is open for any information if this is a sensitive question! smile.gif

1.Find a good supplier
2.Agree with all his T & C
3.Play the % game

The challenge is how to get people to place that 10% Deposit (Confirm Purchase) before trying out the guitar / gear .
Now or days its easier , cause there's so many youtube reviews and stuff .
Thats why many people are hoping in this industry .
