Hey guys ..

The reason MM doesn't do TC Electronics . Is simple - the power adapter .
Just say you're ordering from proguitarshop . When it reach , how are you going to power it ?

1.Get a converter - installing it to your pedal board will be a b!tch
2.Get CIOKS TC-10 - RM850

At the end of the day , it is going to be VERY PRICY for your whole rig to work out .
Not many people have a few thousand to blow on one pedal .
Even Singapore doesn't keep stocks for TC Electronics . All by special orders .

Well,it worked so i never bothered to ask him that really! tongue.gif

But! Having dug around i found out that TC gear like the G come equipped with universal transformers. The manual says it will take anything from 110v (usa) to 240v (australia).

Its quite normal la i think. Most analog pedals r standard 9v dc kinds that u can daisy chain. Some pedals like multifx, TC, tube overdrives etc require different power voltages. My ht dual for example requires 16v n comes with its own adapter - which makes a mess of my pedal board setup n will gimme headaches when if i ever lose it hehehe. Just have to do ur homework and check power voltage compatibility.

But hey, thats a price i'm willing to pay for good sound. And not having to lug my amp to every gig biggrin.gif

TC works best with 12v DC .
Your friend bought his TC in Australia ? Cool .

The head of the adapter , is 3 pin 240v , or 2 pin 110v USA .
Anyway , i think installing a multiplug to your pedal board for 2-3 adapters really eats up alot of space .
Unless its a pedal train where i can install it at the bottom of the pedal board ..but pedal train not cheap eh

Every amp is special. Each has its own use. Marshall are BEST for rock. U get hot sound from that thing. Arguing which amp is the best, ur ear will finally tell you who the winner is to you. Its all about self preferrences. If not y don't marshall just produce 1 series only? tongue.gif

Actually , all this which amp sounds better talk . IMO , Is more than just walking to a shop to try the amp , hearing youtube , reading reviews ..and forming your own opinions .

I always divide gears to

1.Bedroom gears. Sounds damn good in bedroom
2.Gigging gears . Sounds damn good when playing LIVE

Marshall MG is an example of a gigging amp . It sounds like shit in the bedroom , but when you're playing live , the amp CUTS through like a real man's amp . Sounds super decent too .
Roland Cube is another example of Bedroom amp . Sounds good in the bedroom , but if you bring a Cube-80 and go play live gig . I tell you this , you will get drown .

So yeah , it all boils down to - are you a performer , or a tone guy ?

I am a performer , that is why what matters to me MOST , is how it sounds during a live gig .
And i prefer to play a solid state amp than a tube amp for a live show .
If you're given a JCM2000 , you kinda have the pressure & expectation to sound good .
Plus , in many cases , tube amps might not go well with your pedals at very LOUD volume.

Thats good pressure bro,not bad hehehe.

From wat i understand, issue of poor sound using pedals on tube amps is due to either a mismatch of impedence between pedal n amp; or the effect itself is overloading. Pedals often dont have the right input impedence, and unlike rack-mount effects or certain hi end multifx, pedals aren't able to pad the volume it receives in order to avoid overload.

If this is an issue, the solution would be an effects loop interface like a Two Rock ELI or a ceriatone klein-ulator. The unit can prevent impedence mismatch n overloading when using pedals on a  tube amp.

Yeah . What you said in true .

The problem is , during a gig . You don't know what amp you're going to use . You only know once you get there for sound check . You're not going to get Ceriatones from the organizers everytime . Unless you lug your amp around for every gig . That is a big no no for me . You can't pick up chicks with one hand carrying an amp . tongue.gif

That is why i prefer solid state amps .

Anyone owns a Les Paul with P90s?

Wonder how's the clean compared to a Strat. hmm.gif
*
I used to gig with an Epiphone LP 1956 Rei with 2 x P90 (Korean Made) for 3 years before i sold it .

Didn't like the bridge , changed it to Dimarzio DLX Plus (Humbuckers) .
As for the neck , it is the sweeeeetest clean sound ever . I can play an E chord - like forever - with it .

Cheers!

The sad news is ..

We got the deal . I am waiting for the amps to arrive at my place .
I LOVE the thought of testing Ceriatone amps , before buying 'em .
No need to stalk the gear page / youtube anymore

There was once, I went to a sham kamikaze clinic, and he said something about playing and singing the same notes at the same time. What's it called? I remember he said there was a term for it but I forgot what he called it. It's like in a part of wish you were here by Pink Floyd.

Last time my teacher taught me to play & sing the harmonize notes at the same time . smile.gif tough eh ?
