I know its not, but it reminds me of Another kind of green by john mayer. I feel it has the same vibe.

Cost of buffing a guitar body at a autodetailer shop? I have no idea whatsover. If you strip off the hardware
for them, it shouldn't be much.

i just came back from a second hand store... it happened that i found a good working condition PRINCE AMP 35W the price tag was RM190...
i assume that was a good price..

what do you guys think?

QUOTE(+3kk! @ Nov 23 2010, 10:15 PM)
duno about you but prince amps are generally damn cheap

they are like the kapok of amplifiers
*
Agreed with +3kk! there. RM190.00 should be acceptable price for Prince amp although you could ask whether they could reduce the price a bit. Their price is not usually fixed. Used to have Prince Adder 15w when I first started playing electric guitar. Clean quite decent but the in-built distortion is horrible. Probably due to my Maison guitar as well.

What compressors/sustainers do you guys use? Planning to build up my pedal collection biggrin.gif

ESP>Wah?>Compressor?>Fulltone GT-500/MXR Doubleshot>Electro Harmonix Metal Muff> Chorus/Flanger/Phaser>Delay?> Noise Gate> Amp smile.gif

Priorities are the Fulltone/Doubleshot for lighter distortion, then the Compressor, the Wah, then a power supply then the delay xD then whatever else xD

I have the Metal Muff for my heavy distortion already... so yeah.

Dunlop, cause it's really versatile, but I read reviews stating that it has some hardware issues. can't remember the specifics though.

never tried a morley, would like to though.

the wylde crybaby's sweep feels kinda limited, doesn't do funk or that hendrix thing very well imo.

out of the list i'd go for the crybaby 535Q.

if i'm on a tight budget I'd get a vox 487A wah, not much difference compared to an old original vox wah. and if I have the cash I'll go for a RMC wah, which one I still haven't decided.

hi,

i need advise. I jst started playing the acoustic guitar. It was on medium action before setup and i'm gonna set it to low action.

However, there's this other thing. string gauge. It's stock on 12. Stick with it or go 11 or 10 extra light? It's a dreadnaught.

I mostly finger pick.
*
i saw someone commenting that lighter strings give brighter sound which i think the fact is not like that.
heavier string gauge just got better sound and since the tension is higher, the sound is brighter and volume is bigger.
else why ppl would get a heavy gauge string to torture themself rather than the light string gauge that plays and sound good?

famous fingerpickers uses heavy string gauge, eg. Kotaro Oshio uses Dean Markley 0.12.

its up to your preference though, i started playing on a 0.12 and when i try lighter string gauge afterwards, it feels so much less power
and everything just feel weak to me. volume etc.

I would recommend a Ibanez GIO series.

or up your budget a little and get an epi.

i think its more that with lighter strings, the bass doesnt come out as much so its perceived as being brighter.
heavier strings it brings out more of the full range.
then again, depends what brand and material the string is made from also.
