animesan > your slayer thing is a total blast ! did you "program" the guitar solo or is it a real recording ? it sounds great !!
the rythm guitar sound is so "pumping", it doesn't sound super-realistic, but who cares, it makes it so groovy ! woaw.. i'm never gonna be able to do that |

thx for your kind comments here ^^
Im not really new in track or note editing prog (music 2000/3000 in playstation is good but quite painfull) the solos also faked, its all done by slayer and note ... the most important thing is the damp function to make variation and deep powerchord like that you just need to adjust the damp function (in the slayer) right klick - edit events - choose pencil to draw the graph instead of brush - dont forget to set the snap into 1/4 beat - then draw the graph according to your note and timeline my solo notes, - set slayer mode to solo dynamic, - to make slayer to be able to use bending/vibrato technique increase the speed knob (aside mode) - add some damp (edit events if you have a time) |

ssslayer, what version are you using? if it's nearly the same as mine, i can upload a basic flp file n it'll be easier for me to explain. coz i really suck at giving off-hand instruction.

dang... i'm using version 4.5.2.
let's try anyway... you start by opening the Step Sequencer (F6), and load patches from the browser on the left. The patches you can use are located in the folder named Packs. for the sample i uploaded, i already preloaded the basic drumkits and bass patches. under the big timer on top, there are 2 buttons, pattern and song. you create the patterns in the Step Sequencer (F6). after that you arrange them in a sequence using the Playlist (F5). in the Step Sequencer, you'll notice 2 buttons, Graph and Keyboard. graph is to alter volume/panning and Keyboard is to change the notes of the patch sequence. in my sample you can see how i arranged the drums and bass, and on the 3rd pattern i demonstrated how to create rolling snares and tom-toms using the Graph editor (volume & panning). http://s30.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3F714K2...P922F2X75IHQOCX |

Ok, this is my first attempt at something like this. doing this, i have a few questions to you guys. this is somethign from one of john carpenters movies where the guy what happened to all the ppl in the town (all got decapitated). Somehow, this song always stuck in my head.
1. why the fjook do the drums sound so weak? I tried setting their volume to full, and really lowered the volumes of the otehr audio tracks, but it still sounds ....wimpy. what am i doing wrong? 2. The drums again, sound really synthetic and too perfect, any way to correct this? 3. Any good VST drumset? Pamgrierdies in this part |
