Evra labels Arsenal a 'crisis club'

Patrice Evra has stoked the fires ahead of Manchester United's clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford by branding the London club nothing more than a "training centre" whose recent lack of silverware is tantamount to a "crisis".

He told Canal+ television: "For me, Arsenal is a football training centre. You watch the match, you enjoy it, but are you going to win a title afterwards? That's what people remember.

"It has been five years since they won anything and for a big club like Arsenal, that is a crisis."

But Evra remains unconcerned by any threat Arsenal may pose, instead highlighting that the most important result of this weekend could be the one at White Hart Lane.

He said: "We can lose against them on the 13th (Monday), but at the end of the day, what is there (for Arsenal)? There is nothing. There are no trophies, there is nothing.

"Our real enemy is Chelsea. We are more concerned with Chelsea's results than those of Arsenal, even if we know Arsenal are a great team who can beat Chelsea, us (United) or anyone."

Evra at least acknowledged that Wenger's tactics more often than not make for entertaining games, and the France international fully expects another one in Manchester on Monday night.

"When we play against Arsenal, it is really fun," he said. "They are a team that plays football who will not come to Old Trafford with 11 men behind the ball.

"We also play football, but the difference is that we also have strength.

"Sometimes, they cannot kill off matches. We are more efficient."

It is not the first time Evra has hit out at Arsenal's style of play or lack of silverware.

Following United's 3-1 Champions League semi-final win at the Emirates in 2009, he claimed that the game was akin to "11 men against 11 boys."

Its a pity, a mature international player has to resort to psychic himself when facing Arsenal.

evra still angry wif WENGER bcos he didn't sign him even though he told WENGER he is french. WENGER said:"i dont need sum1 who speak wif nonsense, n tackle n pull like a mindless bear in my pitch, so evra, u r not my type of player. give a call to SAF, he might b interested wif football bully like u."

Besides, Richard Lim from The Star is shitty MU fans who wrote tons of bullshit. LOL.

did he meant Arsenal and the rest of clubs in the Premier League is playing training game every week except for him and Chelsea. I would love to see some unknown beat you up some day. Thuram was right. He deserve to be ban for life for his international games.

i hope that fab doesnt play against mu.
he's not fully fit yet, and when he's not, he will not perform at his best,
and the team tends to rely too much on him when he plays.
of course he brings the team forward but sometimes he brings the team down as well.
let him rest and get fit, and let nasri do the job.

might get trashed by Messi again.. and Fabregas will cry to switch to barca again.. and the drama again....

huhuh i prefer we meet Schalke 04 fist smile.gif
In the Quarter meet Bayern Munchen smile.gif
Then Semis meet Real Madrid smile.gif
then Final we get revenge when meet Barcelona smile.gif

but now really need to focus on Man utd's Game smile.gif
at least will matter smile.gif

Well, it's better for Arsenal to lose in the 2nd round of CL rather than in the final.

Atleast the team can focus on Carling Cup final & get the 2nd spot in EPL

Evra? LOL
only 1 person from MU has the right to comment on Arsenal, he's Sir Alex Ferguson

Was surprise with Eboue, he's always in high spirit n morale even on the bench.
Notice tat, he's involved in every goal celebrations when he's on field
Nice technique when he passed 2 Partizan players in the mid week
Now we know Eboue can play in LB when Clichy n Gibbs are unavailable.

Wow, the atmosphere here got so heat up even before the match. I only hope we'll be the first team to ends MU winning streak at home that's all. We'll go top and proved to them that we won't just rely on someone else to beat the top teams, we'll do the job instead. Btw, I never like Cesc and Nasri partnership. The midfield should have one or two mid/L-sized player like Rosicky, Song, Diaby. who else? Cesc-Nasri-Arshavin = screwed midgets.

yea. only SAF.

Eboue is a versatile n positive player. he is a def, not winger. must stop playing hiim in mid
