Just received my U2412m, gotta love the stand 

its a TREMENDOUS improvement for me from my T220, before this id put a small box under my monitor to make it to eye level

OMg... i quite surprise with dell service, i would like to share this to you all,
Sunday i try to click online order, and provide my debit card number..
and today monday there are someone to call me and verify my debit card number and behind the code, i just give them. and now i received a email and say that ''Your Estimated Delivery Date for this order is on or before 18/08/2011''

and i had online chat with Dell customer services, is a chinese gal. hmmm quite nice and well done, wish my deliver date will not delay and the product are still fine,

I haven't calibrated it since I haven't yet owned a calibrator. But I posted a review on this page before, recomended calibrating setup is stated in there. Will try it once I get back home

What do you mean by the type of panel? His was U2412M also bro. And btw, after calibrating, do you have your own setting? or it's all in the software?

My, all these news about the U2412M sounds very interesting. Maybe I'll ditch my U2311H and get a U2412M to pair with my U2410. 

Btw, where can I buy a decent LCD calibration set and how much?

Yeah, well, you can try finding a decent 24" IPS monitor before the U2311H came out. And even then, I wasn't pleased that the U2311H was only 1080 pixels tall.

As for pictures, there's really not much to see.

What if I get a dead pixel???

As you might already know, Dell's perfection to the last pixel policy doesn't allow a 1 to 1 exchange if there's one Dead Pixel. A bright one however warrantys an exchange.

So I guess it's back to the standard industry pixel policy of 5-6 dead pixels?

so picture quality wise is better for movie and games?

Not really. If you're running a single monitor only, it may be difficult to tell if the colour is off or not. And it could be that my older U2410 is in dire need of calibration. At ~RM300 for the calibrator I'm looking at, it certainly won't be worth it for most users, unless you have a job that really need good colours. Calibrating by eye may be enough.

I'm aware of that, thanks to your PMs.

There may be workarounds however, like attaching one monitor at a time and calibrating that. What I don't quite understand is how it applies the calibration to the monitor but I haven't the time to do more research yet, which is why I have been waffling about actually buying one at this time.
