QUOTE(wiraone @ Feb 12 2011, 09:00 AM) Looks good to me but is the imitation leather of a good quality? I don't need those half case, just want something that I could put the camera in when it is not in use during short trip. Probably I'll look for a more generic case.. will try to scour around.. It's pretty good quality, hard material. I got a Kata sling bag big enough for 2 lenses and other accessories .. but I feel it defeats the purpose of m43 system, as it's almost like carrying a DSLR. Added on February 12, 2011, 9:48 amDid a search around, it seems LowePro has some that can fit GF1 with accessories nicely .. will look around one that can fit the GF1 nicely.. I think all UV filter will have the flare issue, unless it has Multi-Coated (MC) perhaps? I'm not sure about that actually. But to remove flare, better use a lens hood. I don't use any filter for my 20mm. All I use is a metal hood to protect the lens. The pictures are super sharp w/out the additional glass.

QUOTE(ahhann @ Feb 13 2011, 07:25 PM) http://www.heavystar.com/servlet/the-14317...w-dsh-in/DetailThis is the exact same hood. Yes it comes with the lens cap. The hood is 52mm so if you want to use a CPL/ND filter, you can use the 52mm ones. This post has been edited by faidz85: Feb 13 2011, 07:58 PM |

Maybe you should reread what I wrote there.
What I meant was, without filter, the lights reach the lens without any disturbance. With filter, inevitably the light will diffract in some way degrading the picture quality. This is true to my shooting style. I use the lens hood merely to protect the lens front element. It does not effect picture quality directly. |
