That is not really 600Hz...something about 600Hz SUB-FIELD...whatever the hell that means. SONY 200Hz LCD still way smoother.

I read somewhere Plasma Hz and LCD Hz are very different thing. And regardless of what Hz they talked about, when it comes to motion blur, Plasma almost always beat LCD. Correct me if I am wrong.

LCD screen is brighter than plasma panel, that is absolutely true

LCD panel can actually last very long, it is the florescent light source that is the weakest link, usually the first to burn out, LED light source could extend the LCD life longer

plasma panel response time is legendary, no other technology other than CRT can match it

New Samsung Plasmas have screen burn protection, means if you are ASTRO kaki or watch more terrestial channels, then better go for this new models..as the tv will refresh itself to prevent logo burn marks...also a manual refresh mode.

LCDs are poor for action scenes as compared to Plasmas and LEDs. For now LEDs are expensive and only provide 1 layer protection, go knock2 on panels to see what I mean while Plasmas from Samsung and LG have 2 layer protection.

For now, I got good bargain from SenQ for Samsung plasma, 42" only rm1999. Oh yeah, no need for full HD unless you have Blue-ray player, additional 1800 if want full HD 50" Plasmas. I play ASTRO Beyond and lifelike pix now...never regret waiting...later in 5 yrs maybe upgrade to LEDs when cheaper!

Dun buy Pana plasma, u'll regret. LG full HD no offers yet..!

money is in your pocket, buy whatever inches TV you like

to prevent permanent image retention on plasma, don't leave static image on plasma screen for too long

doh.gif laugh.gif, i've been using P42S10K for a year now, with 10 hours Astro not to mention before using Astro, use normal TV with DVD player, i must say, i'm more enjoying Plasma over LCD, i even did 1 to 1 comparison on Plasma vs LCD to see what's the difference, and the most notable is the image ghosting from LCD, the tru-black of Plasma.

hell... i definitely go for plasma over LCD

Yap, same here. Didn't know the different and don't trust the advertisement and salesman talk (only pushing what's good for his pocket and this no good, that no good etc) I too did side by side comparison on PQ. Once I understood what is tru-black, there is no going back to LCD for sure when watching movies. IMO, LCD is shockingly inferior but LED too expensive. My No.1 problem with Plasma is reflection and the burn mark does worries me a bit.

actually compare between movies and picture quality

Plasma go very near to LED

and of course the worst is LCD,,, I go for lcd cause I plug in HTPC and there is alot of still when U use HTPC so LCD safe for me...

but if you want it purely watching TV just go for plasma... unless you have $$$ then LED lah... but LED black still cannot beat plasma!!!
