I just realized that when I bought my notebook last week at the Johor PC Fair, they did not give me the Warranty Card.  I got to know when I tried to register for the extended warranty and it need the warranty card information. 

Is there anyway that I can get the Warranty Card again from the reseller again (I have got the receipt)?

shit, yesterday my battery indicator stuck at 97% and show 10hours battery life for my A42JV. At first I'm happy (i know its illogical). But
after half hour and it still stuck at 97%, I start to worry. Manage to
fix it by take out the battery and put in again =.=||

guys , i have a asus laptop with 2 years warranty, the LCD got some problem, but i think i lost the receipt, can i still claim the warranty since it haven reach 2 years?

Shoot! I didn't know it. Peaking at 53C hen playing GTA IV. Surprised this laptop could actually play GTA IV very well, even at native 1366x768 High details! No shadows though, any dab of shadows would ruin the framerate. But I reduced the resolution to 1280x720 to make it more playable. Overclocked the GPU to 850MHz core and 950MHz memory (200MHz faster than stock!)

The latest 400 BIOS they say would increase battery life further by reducing power consumption of the speaker, and it did. I watched two episodes of Top Gear (1 hour each) on it and still have 34% left with estimated 49 minutes of runtime. That is astonishing, considering it done with onboard speaker and Windows Aero on. Browsing time is 3+ hours as well. Only problem is, the GPU won't downclock to 2D speed when idle, which I have reported to ASUS about this problem.

i'm not emphasize about the image quality for video talk on the internet...i want to know the quality of ASUS webcam cause my fyp is using webcam to run..

Nope, HWMonitor say it between 2-4C cooler than before. It was 47C before, now its 45C. After GTA IV it loads at 51 from 53 before. Or maybe that could be because I did this at night

Updated: The downside is the left side palm area is slightly warm now, just slightly. HM55 TDP is mere 3.5W

No comment on after sales as this would be my 1st time on Asus, used Compaq, ThinkPad & Dell before, only Dell need repair after MOBO die 1 month before 3 years warranty expired    Previously was considering Dell XPS, but decided to get Asus after try out the N53JQ, really like the solid built very much.  Any how, I will be getting it from shop with good reputation on after sales service (Swisspac, Penang), so not much worry on that.

Price listed was RM3999 with bag, mouse + other freebies, but I haven't go to the shop yet, will update here once I get it.

What I meant is, if the Asus service center sucks, I still can rely on the shop.
