majority jap car like that dude its not that the car is cheap.....GT also samething what......the door closes like that
*
he said the gt doesnt have this prob..
prob the proton version lacks those seal rubber linings (to minimised outside noise)
buy the 3m rubber around the door will solve this prob...

mivec kick-in not thrill like v-tec kick in, but the sound still there. anyway, 2.0 kick-in very nice to drag at traffic light with campro CPS engine i can say neo CPS manual vs CVT 2.0 lancer GT is a match biggrin.gif
*
bro..neo CPS manual will pawn LGT from start line till around 80kmh..only then will the lancer catch up...acceleration is not the CVT specialty..
the 1.8M inspira would be a match for he neoCPS tho

80kmh???  any reference from where you got this number...  or is it from your own imagination?
Mind you,  if you talk about manual trans, all is depend on the driver.
*
lol..i drive my housemate's lancer all the time ler..even forte's old 4 speed auto pawns the very damn slow mitsu's CVT ler.. their acceleration damn slow la..
neocps even pawns BMW 320i la in terms of acceleration from full stop

agreed..no clue why mitsu dicided to use CVT on its "Fantastic Sports Machine"
but overseas..there are manual tranny variant for the 2.0 lancer GT

i'm driving a manual now..

it's normal to expect the CVT to lose out a bit on performance in return for easiness, but it can't be THAT bad right?

or is it THAT bad?  sweat.gif

Mitsu's CVT is not on par with other brand's CVT such as Nissan's on the slyphyl , even honda jazz's cvt perform better

u kidding? read 1st bro, read 1st

Nissan's CVT is also made by Jatco, which is the same with mitsu whistling.gif

jazz's CVT performs better as there arent any torque converter.
*
made by the same company doesnt mean the same thing issit? but nevertheless the CVT fails in "The Fantastic Sports Machine"
in the Sylphyl it does not matter coz its design n purpose as a comfort car..

Colour on the BK n Body of the car would defer depends on the material of the BK used ,quality of the paint, usage of undercoating.

If you guys think that the Inspira is that bad in quality, QC. I suggest that you guys better cancel all your booking and go for other car.  rclxms.gif  What i wana tell you all here is that all brand are the same. Including Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Bmw, Merc etc, there are sure to have some problem which are minor. I haven say those car with major problem yet. Can you guys gurantee me that the first 1k car from Honda or Toyota or Merc are in perfect condition? or after using the car with no problem til waranty end? That bull*sht. My sister brought a 2006 camry, yet there stil some problem, car jerking not even 1st waranty, but after fixing, now is all right. My dad Honda accord also got some problem after using for 3 months, suspension and cooler problem. After rectify with Honda, everything back to normal now.

Go ahead and complain.. if you guys can prove to me that the car you are using will be 100% PERFECT.   rclxub.gif
Nonetheless, I be getting my black inspira  WUQ xxxx  in 2 week time      cool2.gif

All cars the same? Just take an Ori lancer and do a side by side comparison like me and my housemate (lancer owner) did..
Proton QC is damn terrible.. the interior assembly is unfinish like.. he door panels are hollow.. the dashboard issint fitted correctly..exposed metals parts in the trunks which are not available in the lancer..
Compare the plastics material of both car.. knock on them..the doors, the dashboard..
the seats rear seats are too soft until can feel something poking.. the leather doesnt feel like nappa leather.. alot of difference between the lancer and inspira..

Sure all brands also suffer problems, like the local assembly accord with their ABS and brakes defects..
But if u want to say that the inspira Quality is good.. compared to the lancer..judge for yourself..
There are alot of cost cutting happening in the production of the inspira..typical of proton..
Mind you this is not a cheap car..
i find Waja's interior and dashboard to be much better in quality

Thank for your comment. Probably the inspira fit my perception better. I test drive it and i also test drive lancer. I probably like the softness in the inspira if compare to lancer.  If you talking about interior, those car i saw in showroom and the car i tested seems solid. Beside, I'm not bashing lancer owner here,k.
*
Inspira is softer due to its 16" compare to lancer's ori 18" and stiff suspension

Well you have to compare it yourself...take another lancer and park next to inspira..Knock on both doors..see which sounds more hollow..
knock on both dashboard and compare..
as i said..do the same and judge for yourself..
pictures wont do justice as u cant touch or feel the difference..

there are ppl who did the same and said the same in Inspira vs Forte thread.

Don't get me wrong, I am not asking about the sound when you knock, you mentioned the fitting of the dashboard is not done properly & the exposed metal in the trunk compared to the lancer, so I thought a picture to show what you mean would be good enough.
*
No i did not get a picture of that.. but if i have time i will do again..
The dashboard on the show car looks like it was assembled in a rush.. on the left near the A pillar is somewhat lower then on the right and can clearly see a gap there..
Probably QC issue during asembly as proton rush to send their cars to the show room.
The Soundproofing under the hood is not the same as my housemate's 08 Lancer..
The door on the inspira sounder and feels hollow when knocked upon.. Closing the door takes some effort..
The interior of the inspira has a different colour hue..
Aircond knob felt lose when turning
Feels Hollow when knocked upon.. got rattling noise in the rear left door..
Got some exposed metal parts in the trunk while on the lancer was covered

Did not test drive the inspira as there were no test drive units at the time of visit. So i did not comment on anything on the ride and handling.
but the show car i saw was a total dissapointment

What i said above is from my own test and my own experience. If u guys still have doubts , then compare urself..
Maybe the show car i saw had QC problems, but what i saw was really dissapointing..

If u are satisfied with the inspira by all means get it..
Im not here to prevent anyone from buying it nor i am senselessly bashing the car..

I just feel that for that premium price u pay, at least proton should do a better QC job on it. I think some cost cutting has been done by proton,
soundproofing on the car is diff.. maybe lacking in the inspira (door panels).. but this is just an assumption.. will compare more once the test drive unit arrives here
