QUOTE(emino @ Nov 19 2010, 12:10 PM) Samsung Galaxy S however, have a good camera for indoor macro pictures. Nokia N8 needs larger distance for indoor macro, while SGS you can just touch focus for very close pictures. AFAIK, Just use the close up scene on N8 to capture macro shots. Its so much better in terms of focusing.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « IMHO lah, Imma not a photographer |

Email from Radiance to all Rangers :
QUOTE Dear Nokia Rangers, As most of you are aware of by now, there have been reports in media about problems affecting some Nokia N8 users. First off, thank you for all that you've done on the forums to assist Nokia N8 users who are dealing with handset problems. You have contributed so much in offering technical advice or support and your efforts are much appreciated and highly valued. We've seen the feedback and comments on the Lowyat forums and Nokia's social media channels and we hear the frustration of the customers who are dealing with these issues. Rest assured, Nokia is doing everything we can to rectify this immediately and efficiently. And to answer some of the common queries on the forums asking about whether a product recall is happening, at the moment a product recall is unwarranted. A blog post has been put up on Nokia Conversations here with Niklas Savander, Nokia’s EVP of Markets, discussing the issue. At this time, Nokia’s ascertained that the issues are isolated to a limited amount of customers and corrective actions will be taken where needed. For now, we would advise users with faulty handsets to immediately contact their local Nokia Customer Care line for repair. As mentioned before, don’t hesitate to send across any questions you have and we'll do our best to answer them. Thanks! The Nokia Rangers team |

QUOTE(ViRaViRa @ Nov 19 2010, 12:49 PM) Very diplomatically written letter that promises and commits to nothing. Looks like Nokia is getting better and better at this game. Why not a recall to fix potential problems? Why do we need to wait until the phone dies on us before action is taken? Mind you, the complaints are not only on dead phones. There are other issues like banding issues on the screen display, reboots/restarts that happens out of nowhere and most importantly the notorious tidak apa attitude of the NCC staffs. All in all this is not going to work out good for Nokia in terms of mouth to mouth PR. ** EDIT ** Anyone here knows how to start an online petition that we can send to Nokia's CEO in Finland? I think it's high time we do something to prevent being squashed like a bug everytime. This post has been edited by alexlimco: Nov 19 2010, 12:57 PM |
