But with low yat limit minimum 3 letter for search, really troublesome to search for N8 in the garage sale.

Arr...try searching for "Nokia N8"? sweat.gif

Anyway, my N8 just suddenly crash yesterday, resetting all my homescreen configuration. My shortcuts, widgets, all returns to the original configuration.

I wonder why? Maybe I'm pushing it too hard atm? hmm.gif

TBH, I never expect AMD will join the Meego project. Kinda shocking TBH. But anyway, maybe they wanna a highly efficient OS to be coupled with their new Fusion CPU.
Oh well, if anything Meego needs now, its publicity and more widespread adoption.

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Nov 16 2010, 11:43 AM)
Symbian will be at the mid range market, while Meego will target high end market, i remember that's what nokia is trying to do now
*
Yep, that's what nokia been trying to do. But with Qt, they managed to overcome the possible fragmentation problem. Great move by Nokia to buy Trolltech nod.gif

QUOTE(luckyhillkop @ Nov 16 2010, 11:54 AM)

It might be a good thing. Nokia's flagship sold at non-flagship price drool.gif

Cheap N9 FTW rclxm9.gif

But one can only hope now I guess sweat.gif

Sorry if slowpoke, but nobody's using the Nokia Battery app ? It's pretty nifty, seems to be more accurate than the default battery monitor and can be added as a widget.

There's a wellness diary on the nokia beta labs website as well.

Installed it. Gotta say its great and graphically pleasing. And I'm sure its gonna be occupy a permanent slot in my widgets slot after this icon_rolleyes.gif

Okay, now my Notifications widget is not working at all. I'm well aware of the non responding music player widget, but the notification widget? Never have or heard it before. Am I the only one?

Haven't reboot yet btw..

Rebooting my phone now for the 2nd time. One of my habit when something goes awry in my electronics is doing multiple reboot laugh.gif

As I mentioned earlier, it's related to homescreen and thus your widget is affected. Different user might have different problematic widget but all leads to same cause: Homescreen.

Solution for non responding widget is to restart
I think later I'll create troubleshoot instructions so TS can stick it to main page since more and more ppl having this problem already sweat.gif
*
Yup, the magical solution for almost all bugs in N8 now sweat.gif

Question tho, is there any reboot app for N8/ Symbian^3? Much easier than pressing the power button twice IMHO laugh.gif

Have you tried holding down the power button for 8 secs and feel the 3 vibrations to switch off method? That is a hardware reset. Normal press and off is like hibernating the phone. Does not really clear the RAM and ill effects.

Just my 2 sens.
*
Hmm...it makes sense nod.gif
Gonna try that after this. Thanks for the tip smile.gif

Samsung Galaxy S however, have a good camera for indoor macro pictures. Nokia N8 needs larger distance for indoor macro, while SGS you can just touch focus for very close pictures.

AFAIK, Just use the close up scene on N8 to capture macro shots. Its so much better in terms of focusing.

IMHO lah, Imma not a photographer icon_rolleyes.gif
