QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 6 2011, 07:19 PM) That would be the Saitek Eclipse 2 gaming keyboard: I bought it from Canada and brought it all the way home. It's been 2 years since I had it and I cleaned it a few times but this keyboard does not have sticky keys and the plastic does not wear and become shinny like Logitech/Razer/whatever It's very popular in North America but I'm not sure why it's not popular here. You can change the color from Blue -> Red -> Purple and it has laser etched keys. There has been some wear so I took the bezel off and painted it matte black using some automotive paint. I am currently in the process of painting the palm rest. I cleaned up the desk and wiring. Moved the PC, Squeezebox Touch, and AE Aego M back to the desk. Dead space 2 is too scary with headphone on Don't you find your keyboard a little too high when you type? Do you recall that our old computer desk used to come with 2 tray - 1 for mouse and keyboard while the higher tray for monitors. Nowadays most people would use standard height table and place everything in a the same level. (Typing support to be at lower level)

It's way too high and I have to sit all the way up. I did not choose the furnitures and they were bought by my parents when I was away from home. I'm looking to replace them eventually. Also the drawers make things even worse

My workaround with this is : Buy a height adjustable table. lower then table, extend the monitor. But writing will cause you hunch back a little. Sitting up too high is not too comfortable.. I sit rather high in office too, standard workdesk with computer doesn't cut it

I may get one of the corner/l-shaped unit. The problem with my current desk is that it is old fashioned, too high up, drawer is blocking my leg which forces me to sit with my arms below the table. Desks are supposed to be solid and thin so that your arms should be parallel with the desk when typing.

But hey they are cheap and have nice practical design.. I still hope that if I can self design my table.. You will need at least a 8 x 2.5 feet table at least for your setup.. I can imagine your pain haha.. wished that you could have crush that stupid drawer xD Get adjustable height table.. It's godsend once your setup them properly

Actually I did remove the drawers before but the table wasn't stable. the drawers' frame was needed to secure the table. 8ft should be alright, 10ft would be nice. I do have other stuff I need to place on the desk but clearly I do not have enough space now. Usually a solid desk could be done with 3/8-1" MDF and whatever laminate you prefer. Topping it with a tampered glass top would make it impossible to warp. I'm not sure where could I find ready made table that's minimalistic, solid, and affordable

I thought this is a topic that showing workstation pc? My understanding of Workstation is something related to working pc like awesome built for render purpose, audio editing workstation with all the controller installed, or render farm like how people connect a few cpu together for graphic rendering purposes, but now it looks like most of people are showing off their gaming pc over here.. so as long as a gaming pc with more than 1 monitor get upgrade become workstation here? i'm not sure this thread is named correctly or ppl here understanding of workstation means (pc with more than 1 monitor) correct me if i'm wrong. ^^
and also from most of the specification i cant really see any workstation hardware related inside.. it's all fancy gaming hardware.. razer bla bla steel series, fancy cooling with lots of lights.. etc..

Unfortunately, the "workstation" defined here isn't exactly the workstation that you had in mind. The first post suggests that: QUOTE As long as it contains picture on your whole computer area, then it's accepted

The first post suggests that: then why should use the terms of "workstation"? this is kind of misleading since anyone can post any type of computer here as long as it is a full computer system. So what you are saying is the thread creator uses wrong name? tsk tsk..

It's certainly not the best term used for this thread but I wouldn't bother nitpicking on it. It could have been named
> Show Pics Of Your PC Setup > Show Pics Of Your Desktop > Show Pics Of Your Computer
If you are not too happy with what's being posted here, or how the thread's title wasn't defined according to the content of the thread, you can feel free to report it to a mod/admin or PM the TS to have it amended.

It's my file server. Only 1 cpu is in there, I moved my E8400 into the server and it's actually an overkill. The server is powered by an OS called Unraid (lime technology) which is based on a linux distro. The server comes with 20 hot swap bays, and 2 more internal 3.5" bays. 1 drive is required for Parity and it protects the whole array. I can have 19 hdds with 1 parity drive. If one of my drives died, I could just replace that drive and the system will rebuild all data. If 1 data drive died, and the parity drive died at the same time, I lose the data drive and parity drive. If 2 data drives died, I lose data on both drives. This is very similar to RAID4/5. Since it is powered by Linux, I could run all kinds of stuff in it. My squeezebox server is being hosted there, so is my SABNZBD, Utorrent and etc are all hosted in there as well This post has been edited by AlamakLor: Sep 11 2011, 11:30 PM

Unfortunately most of the parts were not bought in Malaysia. You won't be able to find Norco casing here. I know Supermicro mobo and cards can be found here but it would cost a lot of money, just like those stupid Ergotron monitor arms being sold here in our country. I don't know what you wanna do, but if you need lots of processing power, you need to wait for LGA2011 or get an EVGA SR2 with 64gb of Rams . That's all I know, good luck
