QUOTE(Xiia0Ban @ Jan 15 2011, 04:54 PM) I was interested too but it's abit difficult to hide cables under glass table as in how to attach a rail to hold them.. For my table I just drew a hole and attach a cable trunk. As I cant put CPU holder on the table too |

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Jan 17 2011, 07:50 PM) mindfucuk! how in the world are you gonna use 4 keyboards? just an illusion, I am only using one keyboard haha.. That was when I trying to setup my keyboard and try to detect what's going wrong.btw, the Dell one iz nice to use. Bought one for my torrent rig. I only use the top left one. The dell one is the least nice to use among the keybaords but do come with a card reader but without software to support it |

The external cable is worse, at least inside ur casing it become less obtrusive. I spend like half to a whole day to reorganise my cable after a simple hardware change - -"

Did you realise newer laptop charger adapter comes with a type of Velcro straps with is not like the conventional one?
The hook is extra fine and it's able to stick very well together, the other loop surface will be very smooth instead. I am not sure how to describe it, will snap a picture when I found one. Wanna get this to replace cable tie as it's very troublesome cut and replace for hardware change |

2 LCD? 30" ? 1 Laptop? Macbook pro 17?
lol. I am running 2 LCD (22' + 19') + subwoofer on top of the table. I use a lower range ikea table which is 6 feet / 1.8m. still pretty much of space available there. No problem to add another laptop too |

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 6 2011, 07:19 PM) That would be the Saitek Eclipse 2 gaming keyboard: Don't you find your keyboard a little too high when you type? I bought it from Canada and brought it all the way home. It's been 2 years since I had it and I cleaned it a few times but this keyboard does not have sticky keys and the plastic does not wear and become shinny like Logitech/Razer/whatever I cleaned up the desk and wiring. Moved the PC, Squeezebox Touch, and AE Aego M back to the desk. Dead space 2 is too scary with headphone on Do you recall that our old computer desk used to come with 2 tray - 1 for mouse and keyboard while the higher tray for monitors. Nowadays most people would use standard height table and place everything in a the same level. (Typing support to be at lower level) |

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 11 2011, 01:39 PM) It's way too high and I have to sit all the way up. I did not choose the furnitures and they were bought by my parents when I was away from home. I'm looking to replace them eventually. Also the drawers make things even worse hehe the worktop doesn't suit your rig le.. let me know what you eventually come out with.My workaround with this is : Buy a height adjustable table. lower then table, extend the monitor. But writing will cause you hunch back a little. Sitting up too high is not too comfortable.. I sit rather high in office too, standard workdesk with computer doesn't cut it |

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 11 2011, 08:29 PM) As much ad I dislike ikea's quality I find their gallant series to be pretty decent. I may get one of the corner/l-shaped unit. Ikea furniture is not very solid and actually quite low quality in comparison.. But hey they are cheap and have nice practical design.. I still hope that if I can self design my table.. You will need at least a 8 x 2.5 feet table at least for your setup..The problem with my current desk is that it is old fashioned, too high up, drawer is blocking my leg which forces me to sit with my arms below the table. Desks are supposed to be solid and thin so that your arms should be parallel with the desk when typing. I can imagine your pain haha.. wished that you could have crush that stupid drawer xD Get adjustable height table.. It's godsend once your setup them properly |

Try to google for fileserver build in either engadget or anandtech (cant rmb which RSS i read it from), it's more towards home user build than server eccentric user. Not much people know how configure and maintain them.
I have a workstation desktop, dell precision or something.. brought from office. Gonna dump it edi.. Kinda slow and difficult to upgrade due to the registered ECC RAM I still don't get what's the differences between a workstation and a home desktop |
