You don't need to on your phone for recovery mode. Is your phone rooted?

Yes, if we upgrade to froyo, we won't be able to root our phone. I've rooted and unrooted millions of times and finally decided to keep it stock because I like HTC Sense and we won't be able to update OTA if rooted and lastly, hassle-free.

Anyone's phone has touch problems? My phone's touch screen sometimes can't touch but fixed with a battery pull. Software bug?

I think eclair doesn't support it. Nexus one didn't have it during eclair also.
