QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Nov 22 2010, 12:04 PM) thanks alot....the settings are the same as mine >.< maybe is my sgs problem...where is ur location? Location doesn't matter. GPS is suppose to detect you anywhere in the world, even in artic and antartica. I think if you got persistent gps problem, send it back to samsung to claim for warranty.

3G usage undoubtedly drains battery faster as confirm by many, and even me. After upgraded to Kies, my battery usage for the sleeping night is only 5% using TW launcher.
Another thing I notice is NoLED also consume quite alot of battery if you got msg or any notification when u sleep. The NoLED notification just continue to on throughout the night. In battery usage, it will show screen on all the time you sleep. So it is better to set timer to NoLED on/off.

QUOTE(four_add @ Nov 22 2010, 05:44 PM) I think this thread need to add more info on tips to prolong battery life on the first page.. like disable unwanted apps.. HSDPA, autokiller, etc... Good idea. And also maybe list down all the links to first post for the various fixes given out by many helpful members in this forum for easier reference.

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Nov 23 2010, 08:58 AM) Anyone on froyo has found that once you enter GSM mode, cannot go back to 3G mode? I am on DXJPA Also, I find it difficult to establish data connection. I have switchpro installed. I don't know why you cannot but I can. No problem here on DXJPA as well. Maybe you try use the Android settings to change instead.

QUOTE(bunnymaker @ Nov 23 2010, 09:33 AM) No problem here as well. In the beginning, it was quite difficult for me to connect to mobile network, so I uninstalled my APN on/off widget and just relied on the inbuilt toggle. After about 30 mins, I tried again, and it was back to normal. Btw, is the factory data reset option in phone the same as the factory reset/wipe data option in recovery 2e mode? Which should I choose if I want to reset the phone after upgrading to FroYo? Thanks! You have recovery 2e mode? Are you on official Froyo? If yes, then how you do it?

QUOTE(bunnymaker @ Nov 23 2010, 10:06 AM) Just checked. I'm on recovery 3e . What's the difference between 2e and 3e? Also, should I use the wipe data/factory reset in the 3e mode to do the factory reset or factory data reset in the phone settings itself? Which did you guys use? Thanks! To my understanding it is the same.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Nov 23 2010, 10:23 AM) Don't even bother with update.zip, signed or not on the 3e. It tends to look for update.zip inside /mnt/internal_sd/, whereby your sdcard was mounted as /mnt/sdcard/. I guess there's no way to execute your update.zip other than by doing it from ADB or Android itself? Heh... Now I wonder how the heck am I gonna apply the Battery Mod. No choice. You need to use ADB to get into 2e once in Froyo.
