it move to wireless and network > usb setting

wireless and network, the top most in setting menu

the name wireless or network kinda seems a bit off, but the setting area there kinda fit then being in about phone

please tell us your windows version

try to check if there are updates for the kies, people say it already solve the problem.

open kies, top left got write there KIES, click it, click update.

the latest version of kies is 1.5.3.10103_100

if you are already on the latest click driver recovery.

bro could you tell us if you install any launcher?

did you change the usb mode to > samsung kies before you plug in?

does you phone show MTP APPLCIATION, INITIALINZING, PRESS HOME KEY TO QUIT SAMSUNG KIES, when you plug in the usb?

or when you plug your usb, nothing happen, only the usb icon show at the notification?

for that i think you better copy the internal sd card

no your phone is not rooted,
it just write there root, that is some other meaning

i just delete them whenever i see the multiplying

they are 3 ways to do this,

1. just like you say, download DXJF4 from samfirmware, and flash it to your phone. then connect your phone to kies to upgrade to DXJPA. <--- the 2nd easy way,

2. download DXJPA from samfirmware and flash to your phone with odin <-- hard way cause the firmware cant not flash straight foward

3. the blog that i just give you way, <- maybe the easiest for you coz you just follow what the blog say

i think you can just straight away from your current firmware. if you got into any trouble ask here, i think few of the master still kicking it at this hour.

plug in your phone in debugging mode ( setting > application > developement > tick debugging usb) > click root >END~~PROFIT!!

if the process kinda stuck at installing superuser.. just unplug your phone, the process is done but the software just stuck.

turn off your antivirus is recommended before doing this. my kaspersky detect some of the files is virus and delete them, which is not true

but i still get bug? unawesomeness?, when i load the video that still halfway, i drag it to the beginning the red bar also been drag to wherever i stop, meaning it have to load again...

err dude, is it just me or i only see white box there?
