for me i think it's not...

Dead N8 Issues
- The device will dead randomly during standby/idling.
- Confirmed battery still not depleted during it happen.
- Confirmed the Hard Reset won't resolve the issue.
- Observed before it dead the phone will hang and turn off itself, later can't be turn on ANYMORE.
- Phone will also dead ALTHOUGH switch to OFFLINE mode (confirm not the RF transceiver error)
- If ever the phone can be revived, all function still working (call/message/storage/bt/wifi/gps/compass)

since you get the unit, what the appox. call in/out been make?? the counter show it's already transceive 4 hours and 56 mins...
if u think it's FAR TOO more then ur usage it's mean your N8 been used before by somebody else... an un-honest seller??

u better let the pro do it lah... or u can choose like me using naked N8 (i mean screen wise)...

4 HOURS & 56 MINUTES the counter work as hhhhhh:mm...

after hard reset it still dead, do u still think it's software related?? i'm doubt it...

1. yellowish captured photos
- have u removed the camera module original protecting plastic?
- in what type of lighting condition u capture those photos?
- share those photos at here so we can try to see what might be the issue...

from these statement are you try to say the core firmware might be corrupted??
