???

if wanna extend wifi in-house only, better no go for signal booster bcoz of high RF radiation.

just upgrade antenna to 9dbi and combine with another router as wireless repeater will do sufficiently.

My house is double storey, and my router is uptairs. if i use this product put it on ground floor den it will improve signal? and im using unifi also.. the D-Link router's antenna cannot change bcoz its built in. therefore im asking any product which can improve the signal. thx

the signal booster is attached to wifi device, ie sit between the device and antenna. it boost the wireless transmission power (add xx dbm to original xx dbm power to become fine xx dbm power). it draw electric power from wall AC socket like general electric devices, not plug to wall socket.

wifi device with non-detachable antenna cannot work with signal booster (unless DIY MOD), therefore forget about it with unifi D-Link. (and not much recommended using a signal booster just for covering small area like in a house, in normal house better adhere to safety RF radiation rule, ie don't use over 100mW wifi products. Signal booster better used in wide area like in a hall, school, a park, buildings, wifi hotspot, wifi project, etc).

Unifi D-Link is known for weak wireless transmission, the normal solution ppl taking are:

option 1) replacing tm dir615 with TP-Link 841ND bought from market, and flash the firmware of TP-Link 841ND to the one compatible for TM unifi. Use 9dbi omni antenna for 841ND to extend it coverage.

option 2) no replacing tm dir615, but buy another router or access point which work as Wireless Repeater, and fix it with 9dbi omni antenna http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1406821 for wider coverage & better line stability. This option is of particular good option while living in multi-storey house.
