what i read is if use tversity media streaming instead of sharing, you will not see thumbnail. I prefer to use network share.
Intention is just to play at most 1080P files with DD 5.1, which file size usually dont go up to 30-40gb.
with b-rad, if i use network share, can i get moviesheet? And how is the file management? mkv can be in individual folders since i use ember media manager to extract the posters, subtitles, fanart etc...have not done detail reading on b-rad yet..
tried to play 30gb mkv on wireless, with the wdtv sitting next to unifi stock dlink router with buffalo wli-uc-gn; cannot. badly sangkut2...

Yes you can, the thing about browsing your movies from network share is that it also shows other files like thumbnails/pictures even when you're only selecting video files, so xmount feature is added that allows you to mount network shares as local drives, this way it will only show video files.
Yup, they can be in individual folders, regarding the moviesheet, there are 2 versions:
Linksheet - WDTV scans for sheet files after boot, this may take a while depending on how many movies you have and moviesheets generated. Moviesheet displayed is instantaneous and there's almost no lag when navigating different movie folders. The scan is repeated on each boot.
Msheet plugin(default) - No scanning time, there's only a short delay about 0.5 second to display the moviesheets.
If you're skeptical to flash the official firmware, you can try using flash version of wdlxtv
Just extract the files to usb drive and plug to wdtv, it will boot from the usb instead.
http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewforum.php?f=61Latest wdlxtv is based on official firmware v1.03.49, so there's the fix for mkv files with compressed headers and dvd menus. Only missing wdtvext(allows to use plugin).
