Guys, want to ask ar.

If I were to find a lens similar to the 24-70 range and constant aperture f/2.8, which lens should I consider ar?

Choices are: Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 and Tokina 28-80 f/2.8

From internet, seems that Tokina has the best build, lens wont extend when zooming, and has better glass. But I find this lens kinda 'cold' among photography hobbyist in Malaysia. I also never heard of this all these while until recently. Dont see anyone selling new. Can only find second hand ones for Nikon mount. doh.gif

The seller claimed Tokina 280 focusing speed is super fast, soild build, vivid colour output, standard 77mm filter ring. Downside are heavy, a little bit soft when full aperture open, paint at lens body easy drop off.

Anyone has some thoughts to share with?

Giaogiao pang, Tokina is very nice. The company was started by a bunch of Nikon lens engineers. They left n started Tokina. Very good lenses at much better prices but why u want 24-70 on a 50D? Not nice ler not having  wide angle. It's almost 40mm on ur 50D!

Before this, am struggling 50mm f/1.8 and Tamron 17-50 lerr. And more and more lenses come in into consideration Eg: Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 macro (Price around Rm1.8k onee) etc.

Then bro yrh0413 aka Daniel, reco me to get 24-70 or similar range, since i ady got 1855 to cover wide.

I shoot stage performances more. Then shoot normal candid photos when go out with friends and occasional model shooting. For stage, 28mm is okay for me, as there will be some distance i'm standing away from stage. But for candid photo, i.d.k. lerr.

This was our simple setup:
The Lastolite 6′3″ square panel was supported by two C-Stands. My God, I love these stands! Gonna get two more for my upcoming workshops. The panel came with two kinds of reflective materials. Placed the white one on the ground as a reflector, and put my camera bags on it so it wouldn’t fly away.

When shooting outdoor with bright light, is it possible that i buy two of these:

Then top one using the diffusing surface, then bottom one using white surface ar?
Possible to reach the same effect ar?
