@Comradez
The only Canon FF DSLR cameras are the 5D or 1Ds series cameras.
Take your pick.

ppl who think that the 550D and 60D not much difference, then they don't need the extra features available in the 60D.

QUOTE(stanz88 @ Nov 13 2010, 09:14 AM) Good zoom or not - depends on the lens that you put on the camera, not the camera body.If your friend wants to become Canon DSLR owner, better get him to go to the shop and play with the different camera models before he buy. Some models may not be comfortable to hold, some models may not have features that he is looking for. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 16 2010, 11:13 PM) Anybody tried the cheapo 30mm f/2.0 before? Or the 28mm? Something like that right? Sigma 30mm 1.4 and canon 28mm 1.8 are almost the same price. i oso had this dilemma a few months ago - which to buy?Can't afford Siggy 30mm f/1.4 or Sigmalux 50mm f/1.4 la. In the end I went with canon 28mm bcos it is an EF lens, so it can be put on full frame body, unlike the siggy, which is for crop body only. Reason to get this range: not as tight as the 50mm when using crop body. Depth of field is wider, so when taking group shots at f1.8, not that many people are out of focus. Can be used as a walkabout lens? When paired with one of the xxxD cameras, it is actually quite small - can stuff into almost any bag you carry. as for the loss of 1/3 stop of light (compared to the siggy), i thought to myself - "newer bodies can push very high ISO oledi", plus if it really becomes so dark until i need that tiny bit extra f-stop, i might as well use my flash |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 17 2010, 11:35 AM) OK, so 28mm and Siggy 30mm is almost the same price? 28mm is made of plastic right? How's the 28mm's performance? If in that case, I'll go for Siggy 30mm because I think I'll still stick with cropped body for a while. Anyway, don't misunderstand guys, I'm not getting now.... Ya, the lens is made out of plastic, but so are a lot of other lenses nowadays. Lens mount is metal, though. The siggy is also very nice, as some owners have already stated earlier. I tried one in the shop while I was making my choice. I just didn't get it bcos of previously mentioned reasons. Anyway, performance-wise of the canon 28mm is nice, nothing to shout about... but one nice thing is that the minimum focus distance of these lenses are quite short, in the canon's case, it is 25cm, so u can do in-your-face shots of people heck, u can even do macro shots - but not very effective macro |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 17 2010, 12:13 PM) Wow, more pricey than Siggy 30mm and Siggy 50mm. Yes, more pricey, but u have to understand I got this in KK, Sabah. Prices here are slightly more expensive than in KL or Penang.K, thanks for the update and will have some thoughts later. I guess for now an UWA should come first before the prime. After collecting these two lenses, wee I finally have different lenses for different occasions. Go ultrawide |

you could try use an external flash and make it look like you didn't use flash
bounce the flash off a side wall or ceiling or put it high up, but pointing down, while u trigger it with a remote trigger. |
