i remove the desktop manager at the program files, but when do i need to install the OS? when i open appsloader it only display my installed apps

u do need to remove the Desktop Manager.. all u need to do is Delete vendor.xml located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

1.Download DM5, install.
2.Download latest OS, install (can try crackberry forum)
3.Restart PC.
4.Delete vendor.xml.
5.Start DM, plug in phone, update.
6.Done. biggrin.gif

just did latest update yesterday.

better battery life. just a bit.

BBM also got Version.. also got Leaked and Hybrid Version...

For Official BBM Version - Use Apps World... search.. type.. BBM

it seems that after i update my BB to the 1036 version, the start up wizard always comes out every time i switched on my device.

do i need to factory reset it? sad.gif

if u have the luxury, i'd suggest the 9000 as your 1st Blackberry.

reason? the 8520 keyboard is a little small and you'll often landed up pressing wrong keys and its a little uncomfortable to use (the keys are like 'piercing' your thumbs, unlike 9000 which is a bit flat).
