Anyone is using SF Intellitech Alarm System?

I booked the package last year in a home reno exhibition and now is ready to install.

I called the salesman last two weeks and nvr reply.  Later on he sent me a sms said he is overseas.

Few days later he called me said he will arrange someone to install the wire.  Now 1 week gone and no one call me.

Just would like to know what action I can taken against him e.g request for refund of deposit?

Any one can recommend good and reliable one?

lol, i just received info, dahua server got hacked.

Keep on changing my IP Address settings
*
Yes, there are few Dahua models affected, especially immitation/clone Dahua DVR/IPCam.
Please consult your installer/supplier to get the latest firmware update.

Those who not yet hacked, our advice is turn off the UPNP (Auto Port Forwarding) in your DVR, do manual port forwarding, Don't use Port 80 as HTTP Port, and also Don't use P2P if possible, and also use stronger password.

Hi guys. usually ppl will put infrared sensor at the rooftop to detect thief coming down from roof. Is there any latest technology-sensor which can sense lighting and cover 360 degree range?
*
Got 360 ceiling mount sensor, RM200++ only.

What is the function? detect both motion and light? is this efficient compare to the conventional PIR motion sensor?
Any recommended brand?
*
Normal analog motion detector detect light change.
But due to analog type PIR give too many false alarm in normal environment, so now they come out digital PIR, which use microwave.

So if u really 1 the detector which can detect light, go for old analog PIR.

Which mean analog detector can detect both light and motion while digital detector can detect motion with more accuracy, do I get it right?

By the way, all the 360 degree is digital type?
*
Yup, and the 360 is Digital Type.
Just curious, why u want to detect light?

no idea why the alarm guy recommended this.
Initially I request to have two motion detector install at the rooftop so it can cover most of the range.
Out of sudden, the alarm guy said new type motion detector, one unit can cover 360 range and it is able to detect the light. When thief come down from roof, they will use the torchlight and the detector will trigger the alarm. Does it make sense? or alarm guy try to con me?
*
I don't think 360 suitable for rooftop la..
Just use normal PIR will do.
PIR, either analog or digital can detect human in dark environment.

Is there any home alarm that have home automation integrated into it ?

With the phone apps, you can control and monitor your alarm. It is a trend coming now.

"Alexa, arm my house"
*
For Paradox, just add IP150 Internet Module.
For Bluguard, just add IPPro Internet Module.

For example Bluguard IP Pro, you will get Push Notification, Monitor and Control via App.
If you buy HomeAutomation Module, u can use App to control Lights as well.

Is ur Dahua DVR still keep changing IP Address / Hacked?
If yes, u may try these:
1. Change the TCP, UDP, HTTP, RTSP Ports (Don't use the default setting)
2. Change the user account password, both 888888 and admin.
3. Don't use DVR DDNS. Set it in your router.
4. Disable UPNP and do Port Forwarding in Router.

nope, ok already.

1) Changed password, didnt work

2) Deleted the 88888 user , Changed to P2P and that fix the problem already smile.gif

Ya, that is another way. Disable the port forwarding, jz use P2P.
Coz i believe they hack it thru IP.

Hi guys,

just got a quotation from a supplier. I'm have zero knowledge on alarms and their market prices, is this a reasonable quote?

the house doesn't have window grills so i'm left with using infrared sensors and motion detectors only, i don't wanna do alot of wire/cable pulling as well, so i opt for a wireless solution.

Attach is the quotation. Thanks!

what type of house?

Hi Jimmy, so which alarm system would you recommend that works with GPRS GSM module and runs on apps or even SMS?
*
Bluguard most basic alarm L900 got built-in PSTN (Telephone), can add GSM module, and also IP Module (App).
Besides, we can add RF module for wireless sensor too.

Anyone tried Passive Infra-red (PIR) motion detector before? is it reliable? or still will have a lot false alarm?
*
Use paradox brand PIR.
And if put outdoor, u need outdoor PIR. Don't use indoor PIR at outdoor. Sure a lot false alarm.

i see. do you have any comment on Paradox NV780 ? I worry false alarm especially when my house there is a dog.
*
Depends how high ur dog.
NV780 got 2 beams each side, normally small pet will kena bottom beam, so no issue.
To trigger alarm, need block the 2 beams at either 1 side.

I did some testing by lying flat and crawling slowly on the floor, and found the PIR sometimes wouldn't detect even well in its range.
And my PIR isn't the pet friendly kind.

Wonder any workaround to this.
*
Ya. If lying flat, very big possible it won't detect.
If u test on NV780, confirm won't detect.
So the best place to install this NV780 is the place where intruder's body must detected by up n down beam of NV780 to access ur window/door. If not, don't use NV780.

Other than PIR, u can use photobeam/laserbeam.
There are 2 Beams, 3 Beams, 6 Beams, 10Beams type..

Are u using NV780 now?
U can adjust the NV780 sensitivity, the angel and the range.
Open the cover to adjust the left n right Lens plate.
If it is not adjusted properly, it won't work properly.
