Sorry, i wasn't specific that im not using the NV780...mine is a Std Wireless PIR from other brand.
*
Oh, Wireless PIR. That even less sensitive, it has detection period, for example, 10sec detect then sleep for 30sec, then detect a again.. This is to save the battery.

does anyone know what kind of cable alarm system is using?

i plan to lay the wiring concealed in wall and ceiling and buy the system and sensors later.
Anyone done this before?

Must use Full Copper Alarm Cable. If got budget, get Tinned Full Copper, more expensive la..
I recommend Fajar Brand.

For those using Bluguard, any complaints?

I am considering them because of the mobile app feature that can send notification...
*
So far so good.
They hv 2 type of module, 2 different app.
1 is IPPro - Bluguard 9/16/32 app, another is Bluguard P2P.

If you are using unifi/maxis fiber, use IPPro, more stable.
If u are using broadband or internet that don't provide public IP, no choise, u hv to use P2P. But P2P not so stable, because it rely on cloud server.

guys, quite new with alarm system. Does alarm system come with backup power in case of power outage by deliberate sabotage? how long can it last? and would it cost an arm and leg?
*
All Alarm come with a Backup battery as standard.
It still can operate when power outage, normally can last 12hr - 2days, depends how many equipment lined in your system.
The Backup Battery not expensive, RM50 - RM100, normally 2yrs change once.

Hi all just want to ask,

MY alarm was connected to MY copper Phone line all the while for it to call to MY mobile when triggered

Recently TM migrated my copper Phone number to UniFi Phone number. My alarm calling feature doesnt Work anymore as the phone is now connected to TM''s modem instead of the Copper Line Port from outside

Are there any New alarm System that can be connected to UniFi so the call function can Work again?
*
u need to join ur old rj11 tel point to unifi modem rj11 port.
