One thing not good for induction, I can't reheat food by placing the plate on hotspot but ceramic hob can. So I have to look for oven as well. Any recommendation? Fotile oven seems good. Nowadays steam oven is also available in the market. Too many choices.

Just use microwave.

Copied from this web

To date no specific studies of the effect of induction hobs on health have been carried out

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there is no compelling evidence of medium-frequency magnetic fields having long-term effects on health.

Like i said earlier, there are no research showing tat induction hobs are bad for health, those selling ceramic hobs salesman just talk rubbish and show the test pen to scare consumers

Actually there is still no evidence related to magnetic fields health problem. Those scientist still conducting some experiment and testing.

If it relates, many people will effect like those TNB technician amd those stay near to power line. Those saleman are bullshit.

Actually I have work in before those factory which the induction cooker is thousand time bigger than this. I don't see those work long and near to it expose to health problem.

What about the installation? I'm currently using gas stove on a stainless steel table. If I want to use induction cooker, that means I have to create a hole for the cooker to fit in? Can I just put the cooker on top of the table, will it be too hot?

If not, is there any shop selling table for induction cooker only, sort of like a frame for the cooker to fit in? Really have no idea on this.

1) u can put it on top of ur table without making a hole for it.
2) YOu will need to prepare 15amp -20amp for the hob, make sure your wiring can support the load.

if u did google a bit, u will noe that there is no research to proof that induction hobs are actually bad for health. The magnetic waves die off around a few cm so it wont b harmful to us when we are cooking. Many ceramic sellers will put a test pen and show that the light lid and it is harmful. That is the magnetic waves, when u turn it off, the wave will b gone nth harmful.

The best is still gas, google more n u will noe why.

If u wan den u can consider to get a hybrid hob like Fotile HL7B, 1 gas burner and one induction zone. Simple things like maggi mee u use induction, no gas also can use induction. Asian cooking, stir fry or u wanna use a wok den can use the gas burner.

Just would like to share my own real experience with Vees Delicooker in summary.

Take your own risk if you want to buy this product. Before you buy everything they tell will be very nice to hear, German technology, warranty, no explosion problem like gas stove, smart cooker with timer, compatible with all types of pots, best customer service is their most concern, unlimited free home party, zero interest installment to convince you pleasantly. One more thing they will not tell you it needs the 15 amp powerpoint until you realized it yourself when the product deliver to your doorstep. You need to change the socket to round holes plug point. When you receiving your product they will only recommend you to buy 3 Vees v-wipe Multi-Purpose Cleaner at cost RM150 for cleaning purpose and free 1 piece of Schott CeraQuick Cleaning Scraper worth RM28.

Yeap everything can be happened if gas stove or even such expensive electric stove German technology that they have claimed it so smart and good.

Honestly my new Delicooker was exploded in their sale office last weekend when we tested it out. We never use that cooker before because we can't even turn it on at home. Every time we try it at home then the whole house power was tripped. We have been keeping it for few months because of this reason until we feel what if their product faulty? That was why we brought it to our nearest branch to test it. The sale person plug the Delicooker adapter to the round holes socket on the wall, the moment he turn it on the Delicooker itself exploded and shocked us.

We are requesting them to replace a new unit but they have rejected us after few attempt. Hey that unit is totally new, we never ever get chance to turn it on! We tried to follow up with the sale person but she didn't answer the phone call and don't even reply our sms. We went to the branch again and we have to tell the story again and again to different person but helpless at the end too.

With 3k budget as consumer we actually could have many choices.

What will you do if this happen to you after pay 3k? Never get to use it, when incident happen they don't seem really perform their "best customer service" to make you feel comfortable and trust their product. It was exploded in their sale office and now requests a new unit they have rejected and try convince you saying will repair and give it back to you. Will you accept?

Think twice for wise decision before you buy something good for yourself and good luck.

i have been cooking for the past 13 years using gas hob and cleaning never been a problem for me. I cook 3-5 times per week and my gas last me at least 4-5 months. one tank of gas now cost more than RM 20++. the current modern glass top hob is so easy to clean nowadays.

the trendy induction or ceramic hob will gives you teething problem few years down the road. All heating element(ceramic hob) has lifespan. all ceramic/induction hob has microprocessor built in and a host of other electronics such as temperature controller, timer etc. unless all these are made of top notch stuff, these will give you problem sooner or later.

although salesman will tell you it use 13amp socket but recommended is round hole 20A socket. Hob exploding is due to faulty ground.

I would prefer induction than ceramic heaters due to its heating speed and safety. Induction is based on heat generation due to friction of magnetic field, hence it only produce heat on ferrous materials. it wont burn your hand but it will burn the ring on your hand. how good is the heat generated is depended on the quality of your cookware, hence all induction cookware has a thick, heavy stainless steel base. disadvantage in using induction hob is that, you will not able to use cookware such as corningware, pyrex etc..

IMHO induction is only good at boiling water and steamboat!! due to its speed. In a western kitchen, their cuisine seldom rely on hob, they use oven a lot, their heart of the kitchen is a good oven! Asian cooking cooks a lot on a wok.

If you really like induction/ceramic hob, please buy from a reputable brand from europe or japan as their electronics are more reliable.

I will still stick to gas hob for ll my cooking but i dont mind having an induction hob to boil water or steamboat icon_rolleyes.gif

and lastly, never listen to the salesman/promoter!

u should check the product spec and c the power rating, like how many watt, then consult ur wiremen. They are the specialist, nth will go wrong.

Eg: ceramic hob with left zone 1.8kw and rite zone 2.2kw total = 4kw. 4000w/240v = 16.7amp. (calculation is based on info from the internet, i don guarantee it is 100% correct)

File a complaint via TTPM (Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia), you just need to pay $5 registration fees and they will bring the unscrupulous seller to court....

There is nothing wrong with the company service pratice. He is keeping the faulty unit too long. That would be under 1 yrs warranty which subject to repair and replace parts. If he immeadiately send back the cooker after found out the problem, than he can claim back a new unit.

The only thing wrong is the cooker suck.
