Oh yeah on the subject of metronome, I rarely uses it too and prefer to play over backing track. It does help a lot with a metronome, I'm just lazy and shred's not really my thing.

Blacktrix, how about speeding up some of your licks?? Or some wah licks ala Zakk? It would be great for the finale. Great solo anyway, great bends.

I must say the playing is very good, so don't worry about that! I just thought that fast runs would sound great as the finale.

Finally restrung my guitar and got a new pick. Pardon me for the sloppy playing, it's been some time since I last touch my electric, hope that this track shows that *Gary Moore* I still got the blues.

Yeah, if you're not sure, you can stick to A minor pentatonic. That's what I did (With a little extra notes).

I didn't use much effects anyway, it's just guitar -> TS9 (Drive at 4o'clock) -> Magicstomp (Used a fairly driven amp model)
And then added compression, EQing & subtle delay and reverb with Cubase.
Oh yeah, a light touch of Phaser to give that 70s/Rory feel too.


Oh btw, I'm sure you can tell who I've been listening to recently.

I think the track should fit 3 more guitarists including Blacktrix. If hh7's chipping in, then that leaves 1 space. Hurry guys!

A very very light phaser effect, to give that 'tape' effect lol.

Nah, most of it belongs to SRV. The bends are stolen from Albert King tho. who heavily influenced SRV... so...

Pix, you're right, my solo seems more flashy than it fits the song. Well you know me.

Not too badlar... gotta love the techniques, they're amazing. The licks could use some fluidity tho, and what did you use to record? Seems a little digital-sounding to me, no offence.
