My Blackberry torch bolt sign on the charging bar keeps on disappearing and re-appearing when I'm charging it if I'm using it while charging. It gets fairly hot so is it due to that? I noticed it charges fine if I leave it alone aside. Has anyone else had this problem?

All I can find on this is that lithium batteries won't charge if they're overheated and my phone does get fairly hot when I use it a lot. Just wondering if this is a common Torch problem because I didnt have it with my Bold.

Just upgrade to Torch. Experienced the same 'very warm' feeling from the battery while charging, both from the normal charger and mobile car charger. Is this normal?

that is not normal.. most probably u're getting a defective battery.. i believe it's still under warranty and perhaps u can ask for replacement

when upgrading from OS5 to OS6, it is recommended that you wipe your device and dont do a switch device upgrade. This is because some applications may not be compatible with the new OS or the apps have a different version for the new OS. Occasionally, I also wipe my device completely even with an upgrade within the same OS version. It cleans up some junk files from trial apps I may have downloaded.

You should backup your bb data, then wipe it clean using BBSAK and load your new OS6.
After loading the OS6, use the desktop manager to selectively restore your PIM data (messages, text/sms, notepad, calendar, contacts, password manager). Then re-install your applications ensuring that they are compatible with the newer OS. A number of developers have different versions of their app for touch screen and non-touch screen bb's.

Of course, please ensure you know what you're doing when you wipe your device prior to reloading the OS. Crackberry.com and blackberryforums.com have tutorials on how to do this if i'm not wrong.
