i just went to nokia shop and get the n8, all widgets i think actually pre-installed there just like you said, traffic report, Nat Geo, 8TV and tv3 etc...

and about the maxis wap point i think the telco got system to track it, i just put my sim card in there later on they auto generate message for setting WAP point and those 3G acess point and ask me to save. BTW i m prepaid user.

I also got my Celcom's message to install settings. My num is celcom. hmmm .. im unhappy bout the month tagged as 10. Will nokia center go by receipt date or the month ticked on the sticker?

Insist on your receipt date. No one or shop should cheat you for even 1 hour, let alone a day. Stand up for your rights!

Aspire, since you are well versed on phones stuffs, do you have any idea if Nokia warranty goes by the receipt or that unreliable warranty void sticker?

Does the phone comes with the sirim tag at the back of the phone?

For previous nokia phones its your warranty void sticker and your IMEI no. For nokia N8 its the first phone from nokia with build in battery. Warranty card is not necessary but just in case just bring it.
Its best you call nokia care centre tomorrow to confirm your question

hey, do not worry bout the warranty though. If you have your warranty printed november, then it will be november. You can fight with them anyway, don't la think that your phone will have problem

is the phone can watch tv without connecting to the internet?
like watching normal tv commercial ..coz i went to nokia centre and tested the phone ..can watch 8tv and tv 3...but not sure whether need to connect to the internet or jus use sth like build anthena watch directly ...newbie to the phone ..planning to buy after finish this research.thanks

unfortunately, you'll need to have an internet connection in order to watch the tv apps.

I think they check your system lifespan and stuff perhaps cause everytime I claim warranty, I don't need to show any card...just walk up and tell them your problem...as long as your phone is original...

Yeah I wanted to know that as well, the back sticker with the Sirim and Imei number is just plain annoying. Honestly and now I just need to know if i can remove it already .
