Most of the guys have stated this already, most new phones require a good 3G/Internet connection to be useful. This phone would be optimal with a good data package as well to enjoy its features. So Yes it does use data to work and I would suggest you get a good data plan. Becarefull not to over spend and pay alot smile.gif

I know its out of topic but just suggesting tongue.gif

Added on November 2, 2010, 7:00 amI guess the only issue I have with this phone is that It starts to lag when 3g/Data starts to transfer.. If not I honestly love it.

Thats because before release, everyone was having high hopes of how its gonna be revolutionary device from Nokia and how S3 is going to be so different. After the device was released, and everyone start to report their findings on the device + whatsoever bug, then they only will reset their mentality back to reality mode.

Most of them are now nowhere to be seen. Whats left here now is the true Nokia fans, and not those glory hunters from a few weeks back with you tak suka, you keluar attitude.

A few Rangers also MIA liao after getting the device...

The warranty of nokia phone goes this way..

It is 14months once the phone arrive here... They key in the IMEI to the system n warranty from there start ticking...

If allow 2 month grey period to expect the phone to reach consumer hand... If ur phone warranty r still left 1 month but their system show ur warranty is over, they need you to bring ur warranty card wt chop to get permission to say ur phone still under warranty...

good morning all. Second day wit my phone. So far all good, especially the camera. But t browsing experience is really bad. So hard to click on some icons, like i want to come to last page of this thread, it was diff. T social app:p my Facebook doesn show where to check notifications.

Hei Anu, Yes you have to remember this is Symbian v3 is still underway.. and you have to remember its a new OS made for this phone. It will be buggy. Honestly for me its better then most other nokia devices. Try not to compare this device with an Iphone smile.gif. Yeah agree with you on this , but if you read back on a couple of pages you will notice that there is an upcoming patch pr 2.2 that will remodel the browser etc. So just bare with it for a while smile.gif. Hope that helped.

In regards to the social app, the notification are automatic...

which still keep me wondering...why would nokia wanna announce N8 so early? They are experienced in software, and they should know that software products, especially OS, will never be able to be ready on initial planned date, unless they really have many teams of pro programmers working day and night...
IMO the phone is announced too early, and now early users would have to suffer from unstable firmware due to lack of time for software optimization

a freaking player with no custom equalizer, suddenly i miss my N82 already doh.gif

the best way to check is to call NCC, give them your IMEI number and they will let you know when is your warranty end.. if it's earlier than your purchase date and *touch wood* you need to claim it, then bring along your receipt....
btw, i've called NCC one week after i got the phone and confirmed that my phone (and my colleague) warranty is till Nov 2012 thumbup.gif

using the MID mods... the 100 quality is a bit too huge file size... tongue.gif
btw the original is 85 and not 80... nod.gif

I also change back the 30000000bps to 15000000bps for the video as it's not a parameter on the video quality but more on use for estimated remaining recorded time on the device base on calculation... nod.gif
