hold on bro.
you should download the smp client, available here: brows.gif
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther
at the bottom of the page there:
Drop-in binary for current Windows SMP2 console client (6.30). nod.gif

installation guide here:
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinSMPGuide
make sure you enter -smp in Additional client parameters []?. nod.gif

and don't worry, smp client won't touch gpu.
you can check cpu usage using task manager.
and check gpu usage using gpuz or msi afterburner. biggrin.gif

http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinSMPGuide

after download Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe,
1. i create new folder under c:\users\ran1337\FAH.
2. i place Folding@home-Win32-x86 under \Fah folder.
3. rename Folding@home-Win32-x86 to fah6 (optional,but i did).
4. i run cmd, there is C:Users\user> so i type fah6 -configonly -smp ( C:Users\user>fah6 -configonly -smp )
5. i got 'fah6' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

what went wrong?

try create in different directory than user, such as D:\Fah, it will save some trouble later on

what went wrong is u type fah -configonly -smp... while it should be fah.exe -configonly -smp

i see. hmm.gif
i think in the cmd, you have to change directory to:
c:\users\ran1337\FAH>fah6.exe -configonly -smp

for the client,no.
for the cmd, steps i took:
everything from username until before additional client parameters, all as suggested. for Additional client parameters, i cant set "-smp -configonly". when i insert '-smp -configonly' those cmd crashed/not working/window try to find solution hmm.gif

You can enter the client flags here so you don't have to type the flag each time you run the client. We strongly suggest you enter the -smp Do NOT enter -config or -configonly'' or any single-use flag in this field to avoid problems.

i should type "-smp -configonly" w/out bracket, right? if yes, after i hit enter, it crashed.

yes, you are running smp work unit now. rclxms.gif
the many attempt maybe because the server temporary down. unsure.gif

since you are using core i7 920 with 4 core 8 thread,
maybe you can use -smp 7 or -smp 6 flag instead of lower down the cpu usage to 70%. brows.gif

-smp 7 means you only allow the smp client to make use of 7 thread out of 8 total thread.
same goes with -smp 6. biggrin.gif
